To those who are in the Premere or beta of this game:

Are you able to customize your PM's combat functions in game? For example, can you equip your PM with your choice of gear; are they able to have different AI dispositions like passive, agressive, hold position, etc; Are they capable of casting techs?

Any detailed info on a combat PM (outside that they exist) is appreciated.

Thank You

In closed beta, Sonic Team closed the hole that allowed people to raise combat-capable PMs. Still, I think one person was able to raise one before they noticed.

heh, nice, a hole in the beta...

Ok so really only one person that we know of would have the answer to this question.

Heres hoping for that one post ^_^

Thanks.

If the story is true, it was a Japanese player that did it. The chances of them stopping by to answer your question are fairly low.

I wonder if they left that capability open on the Premiere Disc? I guess we'll have to wait for a PD player to answer.

Yeah, I saw this supposed PM AI in action. I don't know why I didn't take a picture though >_< The PM was a blue glow thouh as if her textures were still loading. The party name specifically said "With Partner Machinery"

Can you say how well the PM acted in battle? What kinda tricks it was able to pull off? Any sorta minute details or anything that sticks out in your head about it? Please? http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif

well of course battle PMs can only be summoned in a mission. cause otherwise they and clones of the NPCs would be all over the place in cities. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/anime2.gif

Just to clarify, you have to recruit NPCs and PMs while you are in the city. After you do that, they will show up in your team list. You will then see their physical form when you are in a mission.

Some people might argue that having an army of Maya clones around wouldn't be such a bad thing.

huh? I thought we already start with a PM in our room? we can have more than one? http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/anime2.gif

and I saw a video of starting online with a new character, it's automatically a series of scenes where you eventually get an NPCs card and can summon them in missions.

so from what little I understand, it seems we all get an NPC at the start automatically. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/anime1.gif

lol http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_lol.gif but um like during a mission if a human player summons a specific NPC (like Hyuga), does that mean no other humans can summon Hyuga (since Hyuga is the NPC for human players)?

I think it makes sense because clones of these characters would be mind boggling. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif

I was talking about a humanoid PM. You can't invite your starting PM to fight with you until you evolve it.

This has been discussed many times. If you do the tutorial, you'll get the NPC's partner card.

Only the team leader can summon NPCs to join a team. As such, you could only have one Hyuga in your example.

Think of it like the mags from PSO, you'd feed it and at first it would always turn into the same thing....but afterwards, based on what you'd be feeding it (which would relate to its stats and such) it would change into something entirely different and would be different depending on what you did and what class you were.....eventually, thru a combination of player's class, the stats it had at certain levels, and add ons like cells you'd get a fully unique mag.

Now take this to the next level, now as you evolve it, it grows till finally, it becomes an actual teammate that can interact with you in the field instead of just floating on you.

ohhh if you choose to do the tutorial, you get NPC's partner card.

but if you don't do tutorial, I guess you have to find them yourself or something?

No tutorial = No NPC partner card

You have the option of redoing the tutorial later.

oh now it makes sense. thanx. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/anime1.gif

might as well do the tutorial right at the start. it isn't long anyway. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif
