We don't know how many areas are availble on each planet yet. Here are the playable levels we know for each planet (and the colony) so far:

Guardians Colony
|_ Linear Line

Parum
|_ Raffon Meadow
|_ Raffon Relics

Neudaiz
|_ Mizuraki Conservation District
|_ Shikon Archipelago
|_ Hakura Temple

Moatoob
|_ Galenigare Mine
|_ Kugu Desert

Also, I believe that each planet will have at least one Relics site, but I can't confirm that yet as it's just speculation. Also, I get the feeling that the abandoned city of Mellvore on the Raffon continent of Parum might be a playable area. Then again, it might be there for just for the sake of story elements and plot points. Still, that's just speculation on my part.

Anyway, I think there are supposed to be about 15 different areas between all the planets, so we've still got a few more that have not been revealed.

No problem, guys. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif

Thinking back to the videos we've seen, there actually are some other areas shown that have not been identified yet. Two that come to mind are a dark desert cavern as well as a lab similar to the mines from PSO. I'm sure there are others, but I guess we'll find out for sure in about a week, right? http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wink.gif

Imho it's pretty sure there are more areas. They wouldn' t show everything in the beta and premiere.

15areas? Sweet!:D A lot more than PSO had in ep1 and 2 together.

Does each area have an Alpha and Beta too? or only that area? (sorry my grammar sucks)

I hope they have a mine ish area it was like awsome...what if one of the levels was like a classic ragol level...like as a unlockable you can go to ragol and just play the forest caves mines and ruins

each has multiple sections. like Raphon Plains has about 3 different maps/sectors.

and online they may add more missions. plus these maps are random generated so there is plenty of new things to explore.

but ya its bigger than the PSOs before it. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif

I thought I read that there was 20 areas, 15 bosses... It's been a while, though...

The game seems like it's going to be on a much grander scale then any PSO before it I can't wait until it comes!

Ah, you're right, Miyoko. I was thinking it was the other way around. Thanks for the clarification. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif

actually its gonna be more than that cause now they said they may add new missions on a monthly basis or something like that.

especially new story-type missions and stuff.

I hope to exploit this by reading up on the PSU content here and knowing months in advance about the updates/expansions. Sometimes it's nice to come in second.

I just hope these planets don't cross paths, otherwise they aren't considered planets.

Darn IAU

Missions can include just new objectives in old areas.

Well they -did- say that the game itself will have a lifetime of periodic expansions over the course of 7 years, so... they'll add lotsa new areas before then haha, besides, they were at least able to add the tower in episode 1&2, n that was gamecube

what do you mean cross paths? each planet as its own missions.

but the mission structure might be layed out where you might do missions on one planet, then do missions on another planet, then new missions in the previous planet will be available to do. and stuff like that.

they said there will be 6 missions available at the very start so maybe that's like 2 per colony/planet or something.

in any case even if missions branch out, we will be traveling from world to world completing missions to unlock new missions and stuff. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/anime1.gif

I think it was referencing the eliptical orbit of pluto, which sometimes cuts in front of neptune when making its way around the sun. According to the new definition of what constitutes a planet, Pluto's planetary status was revoked as a result of its unusual orbit.

*ahem* on that note... if ST decided to include it at some point - under the new guidelines - would Ryucross still be considered a planet? http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/anime2.gif

I don't think Rykros will be in this game.

but it's possible SEED might have it's own homeworld outside of the solar system that we can travel to or something later on. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/anime1.gif
