Possible Release Date for PSU?

According to a sales page (http://www.ebgames.com/product.asp?product%5Fid=646200) from EB-Games, PSU will be released on 10/24/06 with a price of $49.99 for PS2 and PC versions and $59.99 for XBOX 360.

IGN (http://ps2.ign.com/objects/683/683215.html) and Gamespot (http://www.gamespot.com/ps2/rpg/phantasystariv/index.html?q=Phantasy%20Star%20universe) are also reporting the 10/24 release date...

The 10/24/06 release date isn't official yet thats just a place holder till ST confirms or denys it. At the moment ST is just saying Fall 2006, which could be September 23th to October 31st somewhere..

I can't see that happening - the game's translation, as far as can be told at this point, seems to be fully completed, and the rest of the wait is just either smoothing out bugs or planning for a "strategic release." Not only would a January 2007 release date completely miss the Christmas season, it would also mean the game had been delayed very, very close to a full year.

Original release date was May 2005? I can't remember.

Assuming ST's QA started today, barring the possibility that they are the worst QA in the world [not in my experience], and barring the possibility that a major communication breakdown occurs between them and the developers [I hold their developers in relatively high regard], it would not take until January 2007 to localise this game. The question for Sega would be, as previously stated, when they stand to reap the greatest earning potential versus other competitors' key releases.

Regardless of the release date, I hope this game is ready, not rushed.

october 24th seems logical however anything after that and expect to see a dely of up to a month. why? simple Final Fantasy XII comes out on october 31st.

and?........just because ffxii is coming out doesnt mean that psu wont be released around the same time. Are you assuming ppl wont buy psu becuz ffxii is out? not a chance.
