That's a little less than half. It doesn't surprise me, though. Client-side patches and the like are/will going on it. Perhaps it reserves the space?

Only half of the memory card? That's less than I was expecting.

3.166 megs? Who care.... oooooooh, PS2! Ok, God... you poor thing. Lol, actually thats not bad, would still rather the PS2 version be trashed and get real updates... sigh, but if it makes PSU all the more popular, then so be it.

That takes up a lot jeez... I don't know if that takes up as much space as central fire swirl, east and west tower quests, and seat of the heart combined though. Those quests have devoured the space on my GC memory card o.O guess I am glad it came out for the PS2

I hope I don't have to buy a new card though... those things are expensive for something that onlty holds 8 megs.

Sega was probably following FFXI's success in Japan, in terms of PS2/PC. Most Japanese players I met played on the PS2 version of the game. And other people said that majority of Japanese players played on the PS2 version.

I'm not sure how true this is, I'm sure someone here can confirm/debunk it.

Yeah, that was HDD required though, so updates weren't really an issue. I think Sega took a lesson from Square getting screwed by Sony's dropping of HDD support.

Same here, my pc isn't the greatest and I don't have a 360 (yet) but even if I did, I don't have a HDTV so it would probably look about the same as ps2 anyways.

Some of you who may be saying "only 3500kb?" are surely forgetting that the PSU system file itself is nearly 3000kb, meaning that PSU alone (if you play it online) for the PS2 takes up almost a whole PS2 memory card by itself (roughly a total of 6500kb, give or take 500kb).

Are you sure the network file and the game file take up the same space? because games that have had large "network" files usually have single player game saves range from 500+ KB as opposed to what you stated.

I think that it may be the equivalent of both combined (network and offline) as opposed to them being seperate... taking up 6 mb is alot on a 8 meg card...unless you go out and buy those 30 meg cards which run for the same price as the 8mb ones.
