OK I have been on this board for a couple days trying to read up on PSU cause I was really interested in it since i played PSO for xbox and loved it.

Its been forever since i played PSO, but i was wanting to get some details on this game like heres an example. Are there still mags in this game? and if not wat replaced them or if we will even have to rely on them anymore.

butjust some random info will be nice since I pretty much dont know anything about this game.... at all

Mags have been replaced with Partner Machinery.

I haven't actually played the game yet, but here's some basic info (feel free to correct me if im wrong)

The offline and online games are entirely seperate, meaning that you can't move the same character between offline and online play like you could in PSO for Xbox. The offline game has you playing as Ethan Waber, a super-character that is all 3 classes at once. The offline game has a proper story with cutscenes and the kind of stuff you'd expect from a single player game. In the online game you create your own character like in PSO, but you can change your class in the cities, which are like the lobbies from PSO. The 3 races from PSO are present as well as a new Beast race. Your online characters are saved to the server, which means that you can't take them offline. The reason for this is it allows for much better security against hacking.

Parties can have up to six players. Your can do cool-looking special attacks that use up your weapons Photon Power gauge. Only forces can use techniques now.

... And that's about all I'm willing to type at the moment. The PSU section of this website has a ton of info about the game, I'd recommend reading up on it and then if you still have questions post them here.

i just read about the partner machinery and i think its better then just a mag u can actually call them to battle and i like how u can actually make items and stuff of that sort.... just make the game more challenging and also will allow me to play longer

and those who have posted and those who may post thnx for the info http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif
