You see, what we'd thought was we'd be funnier if we were one of those dumb n00bs. Thus the laughing man project was born, a chemical lab designed to bring out the dumb ass in us all.

The laughing man was a character in the anime, Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex. The saying that accompanied laughing man's ensignia "What I thought what I'd do was, I'd pretend I was one of those deaf-mutes" is a quote from J. D. Salinger's literary masterpiece, The Catcher in the Rye.

Mark David Chapman had a copy of The Catcher in the Rye on him when he shot John Lennon, and the theme of the book was largely what he claimed was his motive for killing him. The Protagonist of the story Holden Caulfield despised phonies and phoniness.

How the laughing man releates to PSOW and FKL is obvious. The administration here wants us to start killing rockstars.
