Quick Extra Mode question for those who have the game.

Getting my copy tonight. Can anyone tell me if I can play Extra Mode right away?

Nope, you need to beat chapter 4 in story mode first. You'll have to beat more in order to unlock all the areas in extra mode as well

No, it's not unlocked right away. You have to reach a certain point in Story mode (not sure how far in as I've only reached Episode 4 myself.)

Ok that's cool. Maybe I'll play that far, or download someone else's save that has got that far. Doea anyone know if the save games are encrypted? Wouldn't imagine Sega would care about cheating in the single player.

otheriwse you'll be like back and forth, progressing in Extra mode, but then no more missions are available and you'll have to go further in story mode to unlock more missions for extra mode. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif

Cheating in single player leads to cheating in multiplayer and I won't stand for it. >.>;


Other than that, I don't intend on playing much of Extra Mode right away, I just want to make the character!

Er no.

We are not talking about hacking/duping weapons here. I'm talking about using someone else's single player save game from after Chapter 4 (or even better once they have finished the game) just to play Extra mode. That's hardly going to lead to online cheating.

First thing, I'm also British! Secondly I ran my own 100+ membership Legit only PSO community, so I hate online cheating as much as anyone!
