ya! now that it's out in Japan, importers will surely give us the full scoop of everything that happens in the story mode. like translations of everything that happens in each episode, youtube videos of all the cutscenes and in-game cutscenes, etc. etc. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/anime1.gif

September will be a great month to study and learn everything about the story mode. Especially for us online players who won't have time to play the offline story right away (we'll be too busy online lol). http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/anime2.gif

But if at least now we can learn the full story mode through contributors and translations and media and input about everything and events that occur in the story mode (not counting the gameplay of course), then that will definitely prepare us in a positive way. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif

oh ya and since this research involves discovering all of the spoilers, of course we can use the "[" "spoiler" "]" feature to hide that kind of information. and ppl can highlight them if they wanna find out.

so ya any importers/etc. who are focusing on the offline story, wanna sort of band together with other importers and with we who can't import, and kind of provide some kind of complete Story mode discussion, translation, research, overview, info and media sharing, etc.
so we can eventually fully understand the full story and all before the game arrives in the US? http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/anime1.gif

That would be nice, but what incentive do they have to get off the game they are already addicted to to post information for those of us who love PSU but are not "fortunate" enough to understand Japanese? They probably won't come back here until they've developed a drop chart or something.

I'm sure the PSUpedia will have something of the sort on their site. I've already got two sections of my Wiki dedicated to storyline - one with, and one without spoilers.

Sinue is right, PSUpedia is nice. Lots of good info. Reminds me of FFXIpedia, the best FFXI site imo.

no offense, PSUpedia is growing with information, but in some areas it isn't as detailed and in-depth as one would like. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/anime2.gif

I'm still looking forward to whatever PSUpedia brings to the table. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif

Give it time Saner - believe me, building a database like that takes a lot of time and effort. If you're not satisfied with what they have up - go include some information yourself. That's the whole point of a Wiki. And while you're at it... toss some info up at the PSW.

i can't wait until there is more info on rare weapon drops. it will be cool to see all the new regular and rare items PSU has to offer! hopefully PSUpedia will be one of the first outlets to see them...

Well, seeing all the "Translation please" topics, it seems you're going to have to rely on two or three people to do all the translations.

PSUpedia is still in its infancy. If anything, I would think all translations should be posted there before here >_>

well ya probably the story will be fully understood by the end of September or maybe earlier. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/anime1.gif

But if PSU is like PSO we will continue to learn small parts of it over a great amount of time

Why would you want to know the whole plotline and everything before you got the game? Isn't that like having someone tell you all about a movie when you're on your way to the theater to watch said movie? Or, more accurately, having someone give you the gist(sp?) of the book when you're on your way to watch the movie...

Anyway, that whole mentality doesn't make sense to me. I'm looking forward to Story, Online, and Extra mode!

I never really planned to add much storyline content, aside from the basics, until after the game is released in the US. Even then, the PSU section will be the only area of the PSW which will be segregated into spoiler, and spoiler free sections. Everything else contains spoilers.

It's up to the reader then to determine for themselves weither or not they want to be spoiled.

PSUpedia is still very much in its infancy, as I imagine the PSU section here on PSOW is. We don't have all the information on the game just in front of us, sadly (guidebooks and the like might be helpful though).

The entire community has to go and search out this information and report it back onto sites. Discovering something like all the items in the game and their stats is not a job for just a few people, but requires massive input from many people. NuclearRanger is right when he says we will continue to learn bits of info over a long period of time.

In the end, it's one thing to say a site doesn't currently have that much info, but it must be noted that people can only tell you what they themselves know, and with the game only just launched, knowledge of the game is very minimal right now - even what we do know may be inaccurate due to last-minute changes.

you could just wait for the NA release and play the story mode.

its because we who are going to play online won't have time to play story mode at all.

online is really the core reason people like me wanna play this game, just like how PSO is at its most funnest online with your own character and partying with other ppl and stuff.

http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_salad.gif

so learning the story this month before getting the game would prepare us. we may still play the story mode later on but it helps to know it all beforehand (if we feel like knowing the offline story mode's events and everything about it. )

http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/watermelon.gif

that way we would understand everything about the story mode and we can enjoy online play even more. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/anime1.gif

You'd enjoy it even more if you figured out the story all on your own.

"Hey, you remember that one part, where Ethan does this wicked awesome black flip, and then slices the thing in half!?"

"Well...no. I read about the story on a site..."

well since some of us dont have the game, there's nothing better to learn about PSU this month than the story mode.

ppl like us will be playing 200% online anyways when it comes out,
so like I said we won't have any time to do the story mode.
knowing beforehand the offline story won't drain the fun out of it when we manage to find time to play the offline story mode, which will probably be 3-5 years from now. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/anime2.gif

aaaanyways I heard some ppl already gotten as far as chapter 8. will someone summarize what happens in each chapter/episode? http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/anime1.gif
