If I import this for PS2 is there a way to play it on my slimline PS2 without a modchip or anything?

According to every single person who's talked about this subject (that I know of), you should try Swap Magic. (http://www.swapmagic3.com/)

The fliptop mod is the simplest mod to install ever.

I can't think of anyway anyone could screw it up.

I'm sure myself and a screw driver could figure out a way >_>

So... I can play any Japaneese game with that mod disk?

To use a swap magic you need to install either a Fliptop, or a Swaptool/Slimtool.

Both are pretty cheap, but the tool depends on the model version of your Ps2. Be sure to research that before you order.

So you have to do some sort of mod then? Theres no boot disc like there was for Dreamcast or Gamecube?

Yes there is a boot disc, but the problem is that the Ps2 has a lid sensor which normally resets the console when the disc tray is opened.

I would suggest a slimtool/swaptool/magickey. All of them are practically the same. They are small metal components which you just insert (No screws or soldering) inside the disc tray area of the Ps2 to cover the lid sensor, this way you can use the Ps2 Swapmagic Boot discs.

Hope that clears it up for you.

You can also mod it by getting two small pieces of plastic, electrical tape, and a screwdriver. Open the PS2 (if you have a slim one that is) Tape down the back sensor of the lid by putting the plastic over it then hold it down with electrical tape. Then, put the plastic tab of the front sensor (it's visible with the lid placed back on in the bottom right corner). Screw the top back on, then, viola! Insta-mod at a cheap price. You'll still need a boot disk though. Like eveyone else says, Swap Magic is the way to go.
