"Invincibility" blast badge. When a beast unleashes this nanoblast, enemy attacks are nullified. Putting a large burden on the body, this nanoblast's duration is short.

2/5 - Adaka Val (red)
"Attack" blast badge. Leaning toward their ferocious basic instincts, beasts who use this nanoblast will pulverize their enemies with the crushing attack power of their fists.

3/5 - Boguo Val (purple)
"Defense" blast badge. With uncanny defense, this nanoblast allows a beast to attack without interruption while taking little damage even when there are no intervals between an enemy's attacks.

4/5 - Zuid Val (yellow)
"Speed" blast badge. This nanoblast dramatically increases a beast's reaction time, making it possible for all of their attacks to hit. They can also evade enemy attacks better.

5/5 - No Blast Badge
A blast badge can only be used by beasts who are lv.20 or above.

You have to be a vertain level to attain a blast badge so its the starting option.

Where do you go to get the badge, and how do you use them?

i have a question that isnt really on topic the stats are they auto or do u set them urself like a true RPG cuz if its auto then im choosin invincible badge but if u can set the stats then im choosin speed badge and are all badges the same movement cuz like i was thinkin the power badge should make u look stronger/bulkier while the defense makes u look more defensive with ur stance and spped u should be able to move faster like move really fast like Rock Lee and invincible should make u shine like super sonic man it would be cool if they did this

I believe there are some shops on certain planets that sell them.

EDIT: lol, I couldn't have been more vague.

the yellow one sounds the most worthless unless it also enhances attack rate. however i've seen videos of a female form nano beast punting a monster across the screen >.>

if you can mix and match id use red during stages and purple/blue on bosses. wich i use depends on the difference in duration between purple and blue.

I played a beast in JP beta , got to level 30 and tried out all the badges. They all have the same movement speed, and they're all the same size despite character height. The invincible badge (blue) lasts noticably shorter than the other badges. The defense (purple) and offensive (red) badges seems pretty equal, although there are noticable differences (with the purple badge you feel like a tank really, a noticable damage drop but your hp will seem pretty solid no matter what you come up against, with the red you'll take noticeably more damage, but you'll dish out quite a bit of pain).

The yellow badge (speed, accuracy, dodge) seems to be unique, it seems to have damage thats equal around that of purple and blue badges (they both have same attack power, all the badges have the same stats except for the stat they're designed to excel in, so red and purple will have the same acc etc.) but you seem to attack a bit faster (the combos seem to come quicker, although I cant confirm this as I only got to try this badge out for a few hours) and the accuracy/dodge boosts are noticeable enough that you can tear through a tough mob quickly without taking too much damage. I feel with the yellow badge you're taking a bit of a gamble, since the effects of this badge arent so much an outright notification of one stat but a collaberation of three. At times the yellow badge seems to be a bit lacking, and its easy to call it useless when you go through a dungeon with mobs lower than you and you see a red badge tear through a mob much faster than you, or a blue/purple badge taking little or no damage while dishing out some serious pain in the face of minibosses. But in my opinion the yellow badge really excells in difficult areas as the accuracy and speed boost really show up the other badges, especially on a tough boss. The blue badge I didn't use much, I disliked the shortness of the duration but it could be useful if SEGA decides to throw some unstopable monster at us.

In the end its a matter of preference, but I for one am a fan of the yellow badge haha. I can upload pictures if anyone is interested in seeing them, however I only have male beasts. Youll have to ask Zephyr or another female beast for the female pictures.

Oh right, left that bit out. After you hit level 20 in the fashion/accessories shop on the third floor of the guardians colony will have an option available to beasts. This option will allow you to pick a badge or tatoo , there are 5 options the 4 bades/tatoo and an option for no badge/tatoo. Each option costs 10k meseta, even when you want to switch >< (although, I wish SEGA would of put the tatoos/badges in your dressing room. Also, each badge has a different tatoo design.

Well the form, you're stuck with, since its either male or female (unless they open a sexchange shop)
However by changing your blast badge you can change the colour and stat bonus of your nanoblast.

Adaka Val Blast Badge of "Attack". Going by their ferocious instincts, the user pulverizes enemies with their bare hands using overwhelming force. Blast Badges can only be used by Beasts of Level 20 and above. Blue 50 seconds

Boguo Val Blast Badge of "Defense". With wonderful defense ability, the user does not flinch from a little damage and can attack without leaving themselves open. Blast Badges can only be used by Beasts of Level 20 and above. Purple 50 seconds

Zuido Val Blast Badge of "Quickness". Reaction rate is increased dramatically, all attacks hit, and enemy attacks can be evaded. Blast Badges can only be used by Beasts of Level 20 and above. Yellow 50 seconds

you have to pay to change them each time because they are marks painted on the skin.

Sure can, although it seems I forgot to take pictures of me in the Invincible blast badge.. probably cause I had it for such a short duration, but I do have pictures of a female beast in the Invincible badge.

Red (power) badge:

Purple (defense) badge:

http://img397.imageshack.us/img397/7526/psu427bn6.th.jpg (http://img397.imageshack.us/my.php?image=psu427bn6.jpg)

Yellow (Speed, ATA, Dodge) badge:

http://img172.imageshack.us/img172/6060/psu433gh7.th.jpg (http://img172.imageshack.us/my.php?image=psu433gh7.jpg)

And lastly pictures of Yellow male with Blue Female:
http://img172.imageshack.us/img172/9554/psu439pd6.th.jpg (http://img172.imageshack.us/my.php?image=psu439pd6.jpg)

Also Saner, for the same reason that different hairstyle/color changes were in PSO. Its a fantasy/scifi game, the dressing room isnt restricted to just clothes. Tatoos should be lumped in with all the other changes.

I have a few questions regarding nanoblasts, if you don't mind.
1. What happens to the weapons that you have on hand when you use your nanoblast?
2. About how long does it take to charge up the nanoblast?
3. Does the nanoblast charge from damage taken, or by damage dealt also?
4. And how long do the nanoblasts last approximately?
5. Does the size of the beast scale depending on the size of the character?
That is all. Thanks ahead of time.

1. the weapons disapper i think and you only punch with your fist.
2 and 3. i think it depends on the damge you take so it can very from time to time (not sure on this though)
4. i hear all of them last the same amount of time except for the blue which is less. not sure how long they really last though .im guessing a min or so.
5. no all beast will be the same size even if you create a chibi person.

im not to sure that what im saying is right but thats what i believe so far or can remeber from what ive read so far.

1. Weapon doesnt matter, you always attack with your fists. You have two sets of attacks though, using the V and > slots. One is a knock back and the other knocks enemies in the air, both are capable of hitting multiple enemies.

2. I am able to charge my nanoblast at least once through a 2-3 level mission, however it depends on how much damage you recieve and dish out.

3. Both, dealing and recieving damage charge your bar. Same with casts

4. All last the same except for blue, it has a shorter duration. Id say, blue lasts about 15-20 seconds and the others last about 30-35 seconds.

5. Character height doesnt matter (as I said in my other post), all nanobeasts are the same size.

As for tatoos, yes the show up on your characters right arm. Here are some pictures (in the order of blue, red, purple, yellow and none... if I remember correctly):
