Chapter 5 help?

I'm in the part of chapter 5 where the forest is frozen, and SEED is everywhere. I just got there and those orb things are everywhere, only I can't figure out what to do to them this time around. Does anyone who's past this part want to help me out?

"-Photon Reflector: Equip your goggles and look for a red area on the ground. Once you've found it, stand on it and take out the photon reflector. Aim at an orb and and hold down square. Note: There are more than area on the ground that you have to find. When you're down, equip a weapon and destroy the seed. "

It's basically an area "tainted" by an ice-type SEED, if that isn't giving away too much.

You can actually just spot the red spots with your goggles and eventually your party members will pull out their own photon reflectors and take of it.
