Duplicate names? (Prolly a nub question)

The server doesn't care what your name is. Communication is handled by your guild card ID which is tied to your PSU key.

There can be 100 Sonics or 100,000 Sonics.. you'll still be able to differentiate between them via guild card ID.

Just wondering how this game handles duplicate names, IE- if two people want to make a character named Sonic, is it first come first serve? or will psu allow multiples of one name? <.< (Sorry, was offline only back in the pso days, so no clue how this is sorted.)

no name restrictions. everyone can have the same exact name.

just look for any black-clothes white-haired players on the server and see if there are any sephiroths, that was pretty popular on GC
