Hunter Weapons and You!

I've been reading that the attack speeds for HU weapons can differ depending on your race and/or gender.

While deciding on a weapon is a balance between personal taste and efficiency, it's no fun wasting time leveling a weapon that won't be as useful down the road... Any feedback from the jp PSU'ers (as to weapon choices that are more recommended for specific races/genders) would be a welcome addition to the conversation. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif

For example, it sounds like male human HU apparently have a slower attack animation with knuckles than female beast. Are there any other noteworty differences out there? (...any FOmarl + Inferno Bazooka animations?) XD

Musashis and such were pretty slow in PSO for me as a dude but it didn't stop me from having fun using them.

Nothing a good God/Battle couldn't fix, makes me hope they bring them back for PSU.

Considering some tech units in the game increase casting speed in exchange for a loss of technique attack power, I imagine battle speed units would do something similar... increase melee attack speed in exchange for a loss of attack power.

I think male and females have the same PAs though, didn't really think to check how they hold the guns though. Not sure about techs either.

That's what I was hearing, too. Is there a measurable difference in attack speed between male/female knuckle users, or is it just aesthetic? Do any other weapons vary between gender/race?

I know race and gender definitely affected the speed of the attacks in PSO. A hunewearl tore up with claws, but a racast using a claw was slow and clunky. Also, and maybe this is just because of perspective, but I thought that the weapons not only looked a lot cooler on small characters, but it seemed like they moved faster than if they were equipped on a max size character. I guess it could be due to perspective like I said based upon a lower center of gravity, but I definitely noticed a difference. As for PSU, can't say till I play it, so they may have carried all that over, hopefully.
