I'm going with Keyboard. Voice chat will distract me. I prefer the traditional feel of Phantasy Star Online.

im mos def goin voice chat... but im not gunna make the same mistake i did with PSOX and not get a keyboard. man, when ever my mic broke or someone hade no mic, i had to type everything out by controller, granted i got MAD fast at doing that and even tricked some ppl into thinking i was just a slow typer on a keyboard, i will never make that mistake again!

Won't the lobbies be distracting and very loud that you would just scream "SHUT UP!" with voice chat?

Voice Chat here, if I encounter someone who doesn't understand me I'll just type it out.

Ye, most definately on voice chat though, looking forward to it.

Voice chat. I always found a good amount of decent players on PSO xbox who didn't scream or abuse the mic. The only problems were the lobbies....basically, I didn't hook my headset up until I joined a game or found my friends in a relatively empty lobby.

mmm, depends on the situation, i would mostly use both as i used to on PsoX. KB can be more effective in the city/lobby where there r tons of ppl all trying to say stuffs at the same time and u can also type ur thoughts while in conversation with others without interrupting their talking on mic, but voice chat is much more useful in the heat of action while playing in the team and more enjoyable without slowing down pace of the game.

so, i will use both mic & keyboard equally for the best communication possible.

too many annoying ppl that use voicechat.

plus voicechat destroys the whole atmosphere. kind of like playing an RPG while on the phone. terrible. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_lol.gif

If I ever play the Xbox360 version, I would only use keyboard just like the good 'ol DC PSO days. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/anime1.gif

Oh yeah? Too many annoying people use textchat!

Voicechat destroys the atmosphere? If so, live action roleplaying wouldn't exist!

I partially agree with you and partially with Saner, there's a difference between reality where you can see facial expressions and feel the emotion....I don't really feel that on a headset personally. I'm going keyboard.

okay you and your voice chat buddies can go ahead and try to sound like the grizzled beasts, cybernetic casts, well-mannered newmans, and brave humans with your own voices.

I'll just stand here and laugh. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_lol.gif

Ok..if you laugh at that, than I suppose I could be laughing at the people who roleplay the opposite sex with text chat, eh?
I wouldn't to hurt them, just that I find it odd.
