Yup, it's open again, however they are intentionally restricting populations for the time being.
You may get Error 51s when connectiong or Traversing My Room or Universe Movers.
Just wait a bit and try again.

If it's any consolation Nisshoku, I'm not able to play either. I created my character, went through the tutorial, then logged for a moment to mention that the servers are up (I generally run fullscreen mode). Haven't been able to get back on since. BLARG.

Heh, it's kind of like playing Yahtzee... you have to roll the same number on five dice twice in a row in order to access character select... the first one gets you past error 51 and the second gets you past error 60.

You should just relax and go through it. You get to do a bit of combat in the tutorial. You'll hit level 2 at the end of it, easy.

The state the login server is in now... it's just plain ridiculous. Even if you get to the character select, like Parn said, you can still be bent over after picking your character.

I like what Cross suggested to me on AIM, though, a queue system.. like WoW.. at least then you're guaranteed to be let on even if you have to wait a little.

The method they have going now blocks people from being able to use the game for some time and still does nothing to stress test their server. Well, I guess they've already stress tested it and it failed.. so why not try something new?

Are most of you guys that are on right now playing on the PC or the PS2... any major differences, is one smoother than the other, does the ps2 lag because of low processing power (compared to the PC requirements). Also are you guys going to permenantly stay on the JP servers, or are you going to get it in the US when it's released Oct. 24?
