Almost two weeks have passed since an all-too-secretive teaser on the Japanese Devil May Cry 4 website sent the Internet abuzz with discussion and speculation about the thick veil of mystery surrounding the sword-swinging, gun-slinging sequel.

The teaser animation counted down to today, which is when many series fans speculated that Capcom would finally spill some beans on its highly elusive PlayStation 3 sequel.

Well, today has come and gone to reveal... an entirely new official Japanese website for the game. (http://www.capcom.co.jp/devil4/main.html)

Truth be told, however, there isn't much there aside from a couple new pictures of long-time series protagonist Dante and newcomer (or is he?) Nero, who was recently revealed to be DMC 4's main playable character. There is also a Flash slide show of concept art from the game.

Unfortunately, that's about it for English-speaking fans. There are placeholders for new screenshots of the game, but the site designates them as coming in a few days, on September 15. Those who can read Japanese will likely enjoy the developer's diary also posted on the site, though.

Series fans disappointed by the lack of new information provided by the official site won't have to wait long for more - Sony has stated that the game will be playable at the Tokyo Game Show later this month.
