Melee weps for Rangers?

What types of melee weapons can rangers use? I heard that hunters can only use handguns, but I've seen some melee photon art videos and I really hope that Rangers can use more than just a sabre.

Single Sabers, single Daggers, and Spears are the weapons that I've seen Rangers use. I think that's more or less it, but I could be wrong as I haven't played a Ranger much myself.

My ranger can also use 2 handed sword(not twin saber) and cane...

What weapons classes can use offline are different than what they can use online.

For example, Rangers offline can use bows, but they can't online. Go figure!

Hunters offline can use rods, but they can't online. GO FIGURE!

Yeah, you'd figure a bow is the staple weapon of a ranger, but they can't use it online. Forces can, however...

It's like the default setting for psu's planet too i guess....Planet Neudaiz is like Force's planet... and the shop in there sells best force's weapons... and including S rank bows while other planets only have B rank... =.= (again... offline mode)

Yeah Bow weapon are force only. Since its attack is based on MST or something.
Also to reconfirm whats already been said, Rangers acan use Sword, Dagger, and Spear.

So, rangers can use sabres, swords, daggers, and spears, correct? Is this the complete list? And they can't use dual sabres or dual daggers? That's pretty cool how they can use swords this time around. I plan on using a ranger as my main but I want to melee as well to save ammo for my guns and because melee PAs look awesome.

Rangers cannot use Swords online. At low class levels Rangers can use non-twin Sabers and Daggers, and Spears. No other melee weapon, at all. And I play a Ranger so I should know ;o

Let me get this straight... no dual weapons for Rangers? So no 'two dagger/saber badassness'?

because of photon art accuracy cuts i think rangers would be broken if they could use to many melee weapons. i personally think single saber is better for rangers since every single saber pa i've seen so far blast the enemy away.

Mmm, zen archery. With fireballs.

I could have sworn that the bow was not lowlighted on my skill tree, but I remember that it was X'ed out @ the gear shop, so chalk it up to crap memory. Ah, the ravages of old age.

Anyway, I love the look of the Tenora Spear, but for usefulness I'll stick with the Sabre while the Handgun recharges.
