Hmm...not sure. I like Ruins because of variety, not complexity. On the other hand, so do Caves. And I also like Forest because of the design.

Ruins. Ruins is full of tough enemies and gives a huge amount of exp. It's pretty challenging at times (especially when there's no fo). It's long and the music isn't too bad either lol.

Mines - Its very addictive once finding mags, and also the items in there are great, very peaceful too

Well, I'm not surprised that Caves is last, but I would've expected more votes for Ruins. It's certainly my favourite.

I like forest for the same reason out_kast likes it and also like mines kause thats the place i finally got my rati and also i like fighting vol opt kause he's so easy i never get hit ever in there.... but i voted forest

for some reason the color red in excesive ness bothers me. i like cool colors so when i get to the caves on a new person i just level up in the forest and blow through the caves because i hate it

I like the Ruins. I like the difrent seens they are cool.
The Caves are to boring and to long. When I play the Caves by my self I fall a sleep.
The Mines are to short.
The Forest is ok but it is to short ass well.
So I like the Ruins the best.

I voted Ruins the music is good the enemy are cool and its a long area where you can level up easily.

I hate Mines because the enemy are stupid and the level is boring...<_<

I like Ruins the most probably because of it's difficulty compared to the other three areas. It's definately my favorite when I have a party. But I enjoy the relaxing Forest for solo from time to time. Caves is pretty fun too if I have just one other friend over, but 4 of us makes it kind of lame =/ not sure why... maybe because Caves is extremely easy when we have 4.... Ob Lily's are spotted more easily with more eyes on the field... so nobody really dies >_< not saying dying is fun... but being invulnerable isn't much fun either.
Mines is okay.... definately hate doing it alone ~_~ infact... I think I solo Ruins better than Mines.
Anyways, I guess i'll say Ruins.

Ruins: Too long
Caves: Too long
Mines: Don't like the monsters

Forest. I remember the first time I ever played PSO(never played any of the old PS games, but I've tried to learn a lttle about them) I went to forest and......wow..... I probably wouldn't be so mystafied if I went back and played it today, but I was only like 10 back then, and it was a big deal.

Ruins by a mile.

Forest is decent, and a nice starting level.
Caves is easily the worst level in the game, it's too long, boring, has dreadful music and just feels 'meh'.
Mines is the second worst, it's irritating and bland, but thankfully shorter than Caves.

I've got to pick the ruins. I've been playing my DC PSO v1 (can't find v2 anywhere to save my life) every chance I get since January and almost have all 3 of my characters to lvl 100. Ruins is probably the only area where a lvl 100 RAcaseal actually gets any challenge anymore.

I still like the Ruins on ult. But Ep2 is alot cooler then Ep1 any day.

i love the ruins you just get the best exp there no matter what your doing in there i always go in the ruins with every chance i get thats why i got my fonewm that i just created on friday at level 55 with no problem at all

Ruins. its the begining of the end of the game. Back on dreamcast I had some tough times there. Took alot of teamwork to complete, but man it was some bigg fun.
