Offline Multiplayer: Temporary Files

Quick question.

Concerning Temporary character files... Is it possible to simply keep temp characters on the host's temp files without transfering them? We tend to play offline plenty and we also tend to end the game, transfer back to original cards (3 different cards..) and vice versa when we start up again. It's a bit annoying..

Yep... when you select Quit game and then end game, just say no to returning the character to the original card.

You'll lose all items on the character if you do that

I have found something about the character transfer-back that really bothers me.

The other day two of my friends and i were just finishing up playing. they were using characters on mem card slot A and I had my card in slot B. I was also thrid player (trust me this is important...)

When first player selected to quit game and exit, it came to the screen where it asks player 3 if you (me) wants to copy back the temp characters to slot B. I start to move the cursor to select yes...when enstead it selects no and exits......Player one is the only one who can control this menu!!! He was dicking around with the pad and hit no by accident.

Now I didn't blame it on him, but I was pretty up-set....AT SONIC TEAM! What a design flaw! IT should have been MY control pad that operates that menu not another player! Why should player one have control over the imported characters of another player? i dont understand. I am able to select my character from my card at the character selct screen....but im not allowed to save him and transfer him back to my card.

Anyone else bothered by this?

uh, sounds bad...
a chara not copied back loses all items in the inventory? also in bank? or just unequipped stuff?
(is it still possible to have 3 'temporary' characters to keep stuff?)

If you cancel the "Transferring" status of the character on its original card, that copy of the character will lose all of its items.
If you say no to returning the character, and play that character from the temp slot again, the items stay. I tried it, bish.

Alright, I'm a bit confused.

So, (Refering to my dealy) if I were to keep my Majeen character on the host's card, would he or would he not lose anything/everything?
