ok we all heard about the good in this version but there are some hella annoying things too. I hate those stupid traps that spit spells at you. I hate the enemys that freeze you and then hack into you and kill you. I HATE the enemys in then control center. It pisses me off that i get shocked everytime. But other than that i love this version http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif What do you guys hate about it?

Savor that bad DEF, cause when it gets high the enemies don't have to wait for you to get back up. They just keep hitting you and hitting you...

PS- I don't like being frozen

Being frozen really really bites. Why does my title say Banned?????

Because you are banned. Being banned and then returning with a new account does not clear your record. When an admin comes on, you will most likely lose your _Sleet_ account.

When fighting npcs offline, the hit system is wierd. It seems you can't hit them until they get a chance to hit you...
Offline challenge bank is just bizarre to me, too.

I posted this in an earlier thread, but didnt get many comments on it. Here it is agian:

I have found something about the character transfer-back in split screen multi player that really bothers me.

The other day two of my friends and i were just finishing up playing. they were using characters on mem card slot A and I had my card in slot B. I was also thrid player (trust me this is important...)

When first player selected to quit game and exit, it came to the screen where it asks player 3 if you (me) wants to copy back the temp characters to slot B. I start to move the cursor to select yes...when enstead it selects no and exits......Player one is the only one who can control this menu!!! He was dicking around with the pad and hit no by accident.

Now I didn't blame it on him, but I was pretty up-set....AT SONIC TEAM! What a design flaw! IT should have been MY control pad that operates that menu not another player! Why should player one have control over the imported characters of another player? I dont understand. I'm able to select my character from my card at the character selct screen....but im not allowed to save him and transfer him back to my card.

Anyone else bothered by this?

Didn't you just go back to the multiplayer offline character select, select your characters, and choose the option to send character back? =?_?=

Ayu

.....uwaaaa....actually I didnt notice if you could go back. We exited straight back to the title screen. Even if you can go back to the character select screen without losing data is irrelevant.
I just think that control of that option to copy-back should be in the hands of the appropriate player.

However, I'm pretty sure if you select 'no' and return to the title screen the temp. character is removed from the memory. If I'm wrong, thats good! It kinda suplies a 'safty-net' so to speak in case player one hits 'no' by mistake.

Things I hate about the new PSO

1)Lame H@xx0rz wanna-bies (Prevalent on ALL PSO versions though sadly..)
2)The way Episode 2 seems a bit..rushed...I mean there's no extra quests to do in it..just pla through everything. Episode 1 was mixed up a bit with some quests. Sure, it's the LAB, and a Hunters Guild in it wouldn't make sense, but someone else could give you quests, no?
3)THAT FREAKING DAMN SHOCK STATUS ARRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHH 10 Sol Atomizers down the drain in like 5 minutes whilst fighting GOL DRAGON, which leads me to 4)
4)GOL Dragon...damn I hate him...well, not realy hate, just dislike, 'cause he's so freaking hard for a low level...freeze and kill, shock and then freeze and kill, shock, freeze, split, kill, maim, and very much unplesantries surround him... http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_rant.gif

I don't like that the HUmar steps foward like the HUnewearl after the 3rd combo swing. It messes up my whole style of attack. I'll get used to it though.

Have you guys noticed the graphical glitches in ep 1? It must be translation issues.

Uh...there is a Hunter's Guild in the town section of the ship in Ep II. Granted, there's no quests available for me yet, but I haven't finished the VR areas yet. Stupid Gol Dragon. Someone farther ahead than I could check/verify that, though.

There are NO quest what so ever in offline Ep 2. You can dig waaaaaaaaaay into Seabed, then come back to H.G. and check. But there will be none.

Nuts, that really sucks about the quests. The Episode 1 offline quests were one of my favorite elements of the game. It's a big disappointment for there not to be more. I was expecting there to be some; it just doesn't seem like PSO without them.

Oh don't worry. There is that magical "Download Quest" option at the top of the list. (Which is, actually, only option there) Just cross your fingers and hope for some downloadable ones in future.

Oh, and BTW, I'll give some TIPS FOR BEATING GOL DRAGON. I hope this really helps, cause that's how I beat him at Lv. 22 Hunny w/ Autogun & Lv 3 Shifta.

***WARNING: POSSIBLE SPOILER!***

.
.
.
.
.

BASIC RULE: TRYING NOT TO GET SHOCKED OR FROZEN. Why? Because that's why he's so hard. If he doesn't shock or freeze you, he may be even easier than Forest Dragon. So here goes:

1) Stay UNDERNEATH his head. Sounds dumb. Yes. But heed me first. He doesn't walk much, and rather "teleports" few feets. This actually reduces the chance of getting stepped on DRAMATICALLY. Also, you can completely avoid his dreaded "breath attack" completely by doing this. Aim for head, wings, or chest. However this also brings and important points that is.....

2) If you can survive his "landing shockwave attack," you can beat him. Why? That's his most damaging ONE-HIT attack. Also, IF POSSIBLE, try to stand just outside the shockwave as he lands. This is hard to do, and sometimes is done by pure luck. But if you did, then you just saved yourself some mates and/or TP.

3) When he splits, stick with one. And unless they are really close together, don't ever get in between the two. This reduces your chance of getting frozen/shocked. But if they are close together, try to stand close with them. Why? It reduces chance of getting hit by either's "breath attack." Also, if they are facing each other while touching each other, (which then I say you're really lucky) stand underneath the "heads."

4) When he goes up in air and does "spinning elemental random rain attack," try to anticipate the raining fireball/iceball/thunderball and dodge. Also, move away from him, but not too far. This is most hardest part, cause he can freeze/shock you then kill you with landing shockwave. If this happens, then run away from him. Easier to see the attacks coming, and even if you're frozen, you won't get "stomped" to death. After he lands, quickly run back underneath his head, to avoid "breath attack."

5) And for last, bring some resist/shock or resist/freeze please. No brainer. It actually really helps. Trust me.

Last bit of tip: If you wanna take him out with techs, give Ice a spin. I believe that is his weakness.

[EDIT] Forgot to add word "I" at first sentence. Also, this should belong in Golly thread, but oh well....

Thanks for the tips. I think my biggest problem was I was level 12 when I got there. ^_^; That, and I was going after both of the copies when he split.

Gol Dragon isn't nearly as difficult as people are making it out to be. I killed it at level 17 with a FOmar.

There isn't really anything I hate. The shock status is probally the most annoying though.

Don't know about you guys but it seems to me that those freakin Poison Lillys have been studying Sun Tzu or something man. I mean they seem to be more abundant in this version (epI and especially VR temple) and they paralyse you like nothing man. I swear in the old game I would hardly ever use antiparalysis. Seems like it is a mainstay in my inventory now. I had that mess. Not that they are just simply hard to hit with your melee combo (which gives them a chance to blast you) but when you miss they get that little 3 snap beak hit on you, the paralyse.

It has low HP for a boss. The most annoying part is if you play offline, and there are 3 of those bastards. Sometimes, you can have all 3 of them in the air, and more than one can be using their ice attacks... so unless you got reactions that are, well, of superhuman standards, and can break out of ice just as quick, you're going to die. If you're lucky, and you never get in this situation, well, you're lucky.

I've only really noticed it in forest 1, and it has some TERRIBLE instances in forest one of the WORST pop-up I have ever seen...Whenever I walk into the biggest room of forest one (The long one, with two doors on one side, and one on the other) the entire room doesn't appear until I walk into it a little bit...

But that's really the only graphical glitch I've noticed.

Im just got the game a few days ago... I wated to finish EP 1 b4 I go to Ep2.... So there I was face to face with Vol Opt. I used to easily whoop this guy up in the DC versions and now I get "shock" every five seconds. How the hell does a human get shocked for so damn long?! One of the main advantages of being a RAmar was not worrying about this status element! (I finally did beat Vol Opt after about an hour of getting shocked)

Alena Zouryx
11-05-2002, 10:58 AM
*sigh* After reading this posting I've came to one conclusion - the "shock" status has been upped, being about 65% more common than it was in the DC versions. But this is hardly the only problem.

1) Dying now officially SUCKS. You keep your weapon, but the main problem is the Meseta. No, you odn't drop it like you did in the DC versions -- it goes POOF. That's it. No more meseta. I died an accidental death in multiplayer mode protecting a low-level character in the mines and I didn't deposit my moolah, so about 60k meseta just went down the drain. This majorly sucks...now we can't go back and pick up our dropped meseta... ><

2) The insanely horrible stats of the FOmarl. I mean, come on...this is my favorite class, but now she sucks!! I am friggin' level 27 and my normal attack (with a Pole +4) rarely ever hits a normal-mode Booma for more than 30 damage. My HUnewearl is already doing 40 on them at level 11. And the Force (in general) defense is just stoopid. If your battling a equal level hunter, you don't stand a chance unless you are far away and out of their swing. One hit can easily put you down. Geez Sega...can't Forces be good at all?!?

3) Missing quests in Episode II. Quests were the shyt in keeping me occupied offline. Oh well....I guess I'll have to get my jollies from getting shocked by that stoopid dragon...

4) Mag colors. The mag you start with (and any mag you find) is assigned either the color of your outfit, or, (in my cases) the color of your section ID. My god...I have a Red mag and a purple outfit. Sheez...fashion emergency ><

*laughs* but anyways, I still love the game. The pros outweigh the cons big time. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/anime1.gif

Just let them poison you after you get paralyzed. You can only have one negative status at a time, so the poison negates the paralysis. A bit of a silly solution, but I've used it on numerous occasions already.
