Coolest New Item - Not too sure..haven't played enough of the game to find any new rares...though the Dragon Slayer looks damn good ^_^
Coolest Rare I can think of - umm.....I dunno ^_^
Items I think should be 8 stars and Below - Varista, DB saber, Visk, and the other very common 'rares'
NEW CATEGORY!!!!
Boss I would like to see - A nice little fight versus....Zelos + Ramirez fusion from Skies of Arcadia! Think about it, Sega hasn't been shy about putting cameo's in PSO (Chao anyone?)..a boss fight versus Zelos+Ramirez in a downloadable quest would be great ^_^

Coolest wep:I think that would be the new Omega Flow Sword.
New Boss:I think there should be instead of monsters they should have out some people in the game to fight against.(Like one of the bosses would be a HUmar or somthing.
