well from previous posts.. several people here are explaining how the PS2 is experiencing slow downs in-game. If you want the better/clearer graphics, voice chat, and a system that runs the game smoothly, than get it for the 360.. many people here say that the population will be low on the 360 but that is not true at all. People will be looking for next-gen gaming on next-gen systems and the 360 covers all that

If you have a PC that can play the game, I see no reason other than maybe your own comfort level, that you shouldn't get the PC version. My second choice would be the 360 version. Lastly would be the PS2 version if that was the absolute and only way you could get your PSU fix.

If money is no object get the PC version. It's getting pretty common for people to hook their computer up to the HD Widescreen in their living room. You get a good wireless keyboard and mouse and you get the best of both worlds.

I could care less about having a lesser community, I'd rather have that than worse graphics and slowdown.

360 for me, but then again I don't own a Playstation and don't plan on ever getting one. I'd rather spend my $599 US Dollars on kick-azz 360 games http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif

PC/PS2 players can access the same account. So, whoever wanted that community that person could do the same but use a PC instead of PS2.

Well..that's true..but what if they didn't want to upgrade said PC, and would rather go next gen for the PS2?

Anyways, it was just a suggestion. When i get my PS3, i'll probably play PSU on there. But until then, PS2 it is.

well, here's an explanantion..sorta

Playstation 2-

Pros-The playstation 2 is cheaper. The game will have a bigger population. The actual game is $10 cheaper than the Xbox 360 version. If you plan on getting a PS3, you can switch over. The game is hooked up to PC players as well.Since characters are saved on SEGA servers, you can also use your character via PC.

Cons-They SAY it "slows-down" alittle.

Xbox 360-

Pros-It's the current next generations gaming. There will hardly be lag and the game will run smoothly. Chat via Voice Chat AND Keyboard(any USB keyboards are accepted).Better Graphics and faster/better frame-rate.Well, at least to me, more comfortable controller.

Cons- They SAY it will have a low population, but I think it'll be fine(less chance of lag), but we STILL have to see.

They basically are the same. They just have flaws at different places, big deal? They arent the MAYJOW flaws.

Does anyone know if a WIRELESS USB keyboard will work with the Xbox 360?

PS2 or PC version if you can. Most 360 users will be playing online sports games, lol.

Even though we have a very nice pc in my house (1.5 gb ram, 3.2 Ghz, 256 mb ATI x700 pro video card) I think I'm going to get it for ps2.

I have a really nice component cable connecting the ps2 to our widescreen hd tv. All I need is the broadband adapter and I'll be able to play PSU from the comfy couch on the big hd tv screen, instead of playing upstairs sitting in a chair at the desk on the pc. I can't really move the pc downstairs because other people use it for other stuff, so it has to stay at the desk.

And, I don't know, but I think it's way more fun to play PSO (and soon PSU) from the comfy chair on a big screen then on a pc, even if its a really nice pc, since I hate sitting at a desk that long. I know some people hook up their pc's to their hd tv, but I really can't do that, and since I can't I think I'll go ps2.

It sounds like PSU was designed around the ps2. Also, I think PSU will have far more players on the ps2 & pc versions (since they're linked) than on the x360 version. However, I really do thilnk it will be fun on all systems. x360 players are used to playing online games amongst themselves via Live, while ps2 and pc players are used to playing online in more open situations, so its all good I'm sure.

360 because there is chance they will connect it to PS2 and PC server and PS2 slow down because of strain PSU puts on it

Whichever one you think you might want to get is the best to get. You have to remember you are asking people about a version of the game that NO BODY has played on this board, so NO ONE can give you a hands on opinion.

PC+360 controller>all versions in any case.
But here is a thought.
PS2 was backwards compatible.
If PS2 will have slow downs, you will probably be able to play it on PS3, which is reason enough to get that system if you have the money. PS3, like 360, will be a great system though more pricy, but you get what you pay for with both systems.
If PS2 and Xbox indicators as to how PS3 and 360 will be in 3-4 years from now, I think PS3 will be a great investment in the long run.

360 for me. Not having PS2 and PC players tell me 360 sucks--priceless.

PS3 will be backwards compatible with all PS2 game, except maybe some exceptions, but we can't know for sure if ONLINE GAMES will be playable ONLINE on PS3.
I'm pretty sure PSU offline will work on PS3 too, but what about the online? Hard to tell. Could as well not work for some if not all PS2 online games.

I keep hearing people talk about the PS3 and how games that are borderline playable on the PS2 will be great on PS3 because its more powerful...

I am wondering if the people saying those things know that the PS3's solution to backward compatability was to carry the PS2 chipset forward and embed it into the PS3, so they could avoid having to write software emulation for every game like MS chose to do with the 360...

So, same chips doing the work for PS2 titles... Could someone explain the speed bump an upgrade will give??

As far as 360 vs. PS2 goes... I think the summation above seems accurate.

More People = PS2/PC

Voice/Performance = 360

Pick your poison.

(My personal opinion is that there were fewer PSOX players than I expect to have on 360 PSU and I never had a problem finding lots of people to play with and was a member of 2 different active guilds over 18 months of time.)

ps2 or the new system with better graphics, smoother gameplay and voice chat without having to use a keyboard while fighting... Hmmmmm, Its a toughy, I can't really say for sure ;3

Judging by the boards on GameFAQ's it seems the 360 version will be as poular as PC and PS2 put together. Here's the figures. Judging by the Messages on each board I think will be a good why to determine the popularity for that particular system.

PC - 57 topics, 329 messages
PS2 - 122 topics, 854 messages
PC and PS2 combined - 179 topics, 1183 messages

Now 360 - 102 topics, 1161 messages

I know it isn't entirely accurate but I think it shows that 360 will be just as poular as the other servers.
