Are the bosses at all tough? From videos ive seen, they seem rather lame and dont really do much to the player.

they are said to last longer and do more damage in the highest rankings.

but I dunno. the PSO bosses weren't exactly smart or hard either once you have a high enough level and know-how.

so its really no different from general RPGs, which are for the most part weakness exploits and damage races anyway. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif

The dragon and flying guy are annoying because of cheap 1 hit kills. The giant robot is insanely easy

there is no such thing as cheap. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_lol.gif

in that case it's pretty cheap of us to gang up on a poor defenseless boss. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/anime2.gif

hmmm its too bad the giant robot sounds easy. it did kill Parn in his video though. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif

I hope I at least get a chellenge from them, the PSO bosses were pretty easy. I just dont wanna be dissapointed since fighting tough bosses is much more rewarding than killing them without any difficulty.

I find the bosses harder than in PSO.

^ At the same time I don't want to die in one hit.

well a boss is either easy or hard.

there is no real inbetween because either way you'll feel they are easy (after you beat them) or hard (if you dont beat them) http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif

I think you have to beat missions in lower ranking difficulties before you can access the highest difficulties, so be sure to fight the bosses at the highest ranking before you determine if they are easy or hard. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif

Of course not, although id like to see a use for a more support oriented FO, that said, has anyone come across such a player and does PSU even have a place for them?

a support oriented FO?

well that depends if everyone is doing their job dealing damage in the meantime or you'll have to beat the beastie by yourself if they fall. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif

FOs in general are good for support and buffs but they should be doing damage too when they can.

but any style you choose will work as long as the team cooperates.

The only boss I had problems with are the flying ones... otherwise I wouldn't say they're tough. At least offline they aren't. The challenge comes in pummeling them fast enough to get an S rank

6 Vs. 1 ? :/

any way, from what I've seen, bosses can take quite a bit of damage (some of them), but they deal out rather low damage (except for the one hit kill thing), which is maybe a bit dissapointing.

I cnt say for real, of course, since i hvnt played, but, I think they r better then in pso(<3Falz).

I've seen a few in PSU and they do the job well, while also causing quite a bit of damage to enemies.

Thats good to hear, I enjoy playing the priest type role and plan on having a support FO in PSU.

Keep in mind FOnewm(earl) die real fast against bosses. So it'd be a good idea to stay out of range if you're FO. The other races aren't quite as bad atleast. At max level in the beta, my FOnewearl would occasionally die in one hit from rank-B onma. rank-A onma only had to breath on me to kill me. Though even HU if caught in certain situations can die before they can heal (Such as being caught in De Ragan's fire).

Overall bosses are harder, only because they generally involve more moving around, more changing weapons, etc. Also, many bosses involve going into FPS mode to hit them while they're flying or to hit weakpoints.

Also, they take alot more damage then you'd expect. Especially if you can't stun or hit their weakpoints easily. A good example is that HU take forever to kill Onma by themselves. A RA can take Onma out of flying, but can't deal the damage a HU can once its down. But together, Onma dies real fast.

From my experience with FOs in PSU, you can play support and offensive if you carry enough Rods with you. Keeping your range isn't too hard either if you keep a good ranged weapon and bullet with you.
