Yea, if they are hacked, I don't know how welcome the info might be in the database :/ Not sure who's in charge of the databases, but you can try asking them... I really don't see any reason why they wouldn't accept the pictures at least...

@Ether - take a look at my name dude. i don't care about getting flamed, but hacked in the game or not, the weapon will look the same. i can't report where they are found, but at least psu players can see some of the rares.

i won't/can't hack online. it's erver side save, and i'm not experienced enough to know how to effect that. i only plan to use these for offline extra/ethan anyway

Whoa now, calm down. Why we don't endorse hacking, he didn't hack into the Online portion of the game. Which is pretty much just like activating a cheat in a regular single player game. Ok, people. There is no possible way to hack online, as ALL character data is saved on Sega's servers. The only way to alter it is to go and manually alter the data in the server, itself, which only Sega members have access to. Geez, the dudes being charitable and you guys jump down his throat like blind fools.

Don't be ignorant. Of course it's possible to hack online, server-side saves or not. It's difficult enough that very few could do it, sure.

Frankly, who gives a crap even if he does have "rares" he can show us. How about not spoiling the game for yourself and just waiting to play it and find out for yourself? There's plenty of information, movies, and pictures coming from legitimate import players to satiate yourself on.

If you want to hack your offline data, fine. Whatever. I agree that it should not be in any way endorsed on PSOW, however.

@supporters - thank you for seeing that i'm doing this offline only, for my enjoyment. i do plan to buy the usa version, and take it online, but i repeat, i'm not experienced enough to know how to do server-side saves hacking, and do not plan to learn anytime.

@complainers - i don't see what the problem is. if you don't want to see pics of rares in psu, that in no way will effect other people playign the game, then just don't look.

Also, it's offline and it's harming no-one. If he wanted to hack the game then so be it, as long as it's not online, which very few people can when it's serverside (hehe... I'm one of the few but hey... I understand how it works but don't use it in practice. I believe online hacking/cheating reduces the challenge of online games, but that's just me.)

Offline 'hacking' may be harmless but it's an insult to Sonic Team's work.

The funny thing is that most of these 'hackers' (Isoguy) didn't even write the software they're using to break the game's logic, in which case they're not actually hackers at all... just wimps.

I've been a hobbyist game engine programmer for years so it just bugs me when other programmers use their powers for evil, lol... the REAL hackers, that is.

We all discussed that the PC version would be hacked first, and here you go. Once again, for this reason and many others I am glad I will be on the 360 with its separate servers. You hackers are the reason why many good people waste many good hours clicking off popups and days and days trying to remove persistent trojan downloaders.

Hacking killed PSO for me years ago. Ireally hope no one bothers to try to hack the online component. my only issue with offline hacking is that it leads to online hacking. if not this guy then someone else. and you can bet teh someone else practiced with the offline first.

I really don't like what I'm hearing here, and I think it's garbage. I don't understand why people can't be satisfied just playing a game the way it was designed. Is being surprised by something you haven't seen before so bad that you have to prevent yourself from the experience by ruining it in one "omgrotflmao this 3rd party software is so uberl33t that I can see all the items without playing because I am too weak to actually find them" moment? Sorry to burst YOUR bubble, but using third party software or even condoning the use of it, online or off is not the best way to prove to everyone that you know how to do anything more complicated than tie your shoes. All it does is drop you a peg down in the minds of the REAL gamers, those who use what was provided to them to excel, not to manipulate the environment using programs they didn't even write, in order to bypass the effort of actually having to try in order to beat the game.

I saw the posts by the mods, I just wonder why they didn't say anything when he used the board to organize the distribution of these hacking programs to others. Makes me sick. What garbage, Sonic Team does not even have the bugs worked out and I have not even played the game yet, but the game has been hacked. Unbelievable. =/

This is a misconception. We do not care if he or anyone cheats or hacks. They can post the images of their hacks if they like, as long as no method is revealed.

We aren't anal enough to forbid all members from talking about cheating. There is even a 'cheater' (though not very popular or pleasant) forum for this kind of talks as you can see. However, things can change in the future.

Pics of evolved PM's were released, so why not pics of rare weapons as well?
Pics of what things to come should welcomed as long as there's a "spoilers" warning on top.
But info on how to hack to acheive these rares should be kept to themselves, no?

Apparently, that's not the intention. The only reason that this thread remains opened until now is what I said above.

Neither the cheater section or this thread exist to be flamed. It's the users' opinions & comments that are flames & flame-baits. This also stays in PSU because it has something to do with the game. But I know a better place for this. ;]
