Mmm, math for another year

I'll admit it though, I failed Math last year at my own fault; I was either asleep in class, daydreamed, or just flat out didn't pay attention. Frankly, 36% is probably being nice.

So, because in this school system I need 3 Math credits (I used to think the extra Science was bad, but I'm taking 4 science courses this year... I didn't realise I was such a Science person http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wacko.gif), I had to take up a period this year for Grade 11 Math, so instead of going to the harder University/College course (It's the same as the University level, it's just minus one chapter, and it's still a University level credit, why anyone would take University math if they don't plan to do Grade 12 Math is beyond me), so I opted for a lower level math, the College level. This is called Personal Finance.

I'll cut straight to the point. My teacher is dumb.

Let's go back to the first day of class: Last Wednesday. He doesn't show up AT ALL because he thinks he has a spare, and being the genius that he is, leaves the school with no way to contact him. I mean, I enjoyed the period but... first day impressions?

Then the next day he shows up, and says nothing as if nothing happened. He just goes on to teaching.

Part 2: He hasn't taught us anything. "Solve this for homework." ...Say what? You haven't even taught us HOW to solve it! Equations, examples, something? Nope. We also have a quiz this Friday for what he's, "Taught us." Gee, wonder how THAT'LL work.

Point Tree with an h: We are getting no textbook. Our school can afford them. We HAVE them. He's just not using it. Our class is a semester of handouts.

If you have a school that is pressed for money, as mine is now, it happens. Last year my English teacher couldn't speak proper English. "Lemme AXE you a question," she says. (Yes, she's black) Even though she was a first year teacher, she could've tried harder. We did hardly anything that class. On a few days she came in class hung over. And she was always late, because our class was her first of the day. And I heard complaints of a newly hired teacher that calls standards, "My STDs" and he eats his own skin peelings. He also barely tought the subjects...instead he had students look over the book for examples and the like.

Amazing how one of the top schools in the nation in one of the wealthiest regions went overbudget and hires terrible teachers.

Did they ever finish that Gym?

I don't know about your high school, but mine is 687th in the Nation (I know yours should be higher, but how much higher I don't know). Plus, we had Traci Lords. Does your high school have a famous porn star as alumni?

Probably. Lots of chicks can get implants. And there are lots of wannabe whores.

Yeah, but will any of them ever get their own E! True Hollywood (hehe... wood) Story?

I'm sure that Quentin Terrintino got one. If he hasn't, he will get one.

Algebra is easy. At least, the early stuff is easy. The difficulty picks up. If you have any plans on continuing math, you better know your stuff. A lot of stuff is algebra driven, or trig-based. And trig uses a lot of algebra.

If you hate Algebra, you might like Geometry, however. People that do good in one do bad in the other. Usually...
