Hey all. Back in PSO I was pretty big fan of the traps. How are they in PSU, how do they work? Any links to videos? Thanks for any info.

No one who has imported the game has said a word about PSU traps. All that is known is that there bought from a shops and everyone , not just cast, can use them.

There also isn't a single video or even a pic of one.

There are two kinds of traps. traps that you set on the floor, and the good old floating traps.

Floor traps explode after a certain period of time and air traps when enemies are in the vincinity.

Also there are 6 different trap effects for each set.
The floating traps are much more expensive (500 Meseta) then floor traps(100 Meseta). The thing about floating traps though is that they can be set as floor traps too. I only bought like 3 traps and didn't really get to see how effective they where. Also, you can't use traps from the get go, I think there are level requirements or something, not sure. Maybe in a few more days when i get more meseta I'll comment on them as I too was a big fan of traps.

I spam traps in PSO on Ultimate with my RAcast, lol. Hopefully these will be effective. The meseta amount is discouraging though.

Cool, thanks for the info AC9breaker(armored core fan eh? love that game...). I'll have to try them out, but yeah the cost seems quite high. But maybe a part of the whole traps specialist thing is that you get a discount if you become one... Who knows. Thanks again!

I think traps in this game are meant to actually used more like actual traps. Especially since enemies seem to follow you further from their spawn points than PSO's enemies did. Might be good for soloing...

I could imagine the Income and Expenses Report of an extensive trap user...(using arbitrary numbers)

"Target of operation cleared. System switched to normal mode."
Income
Reward: 500m
Special Addition: 113m (loot)
Expenditure
Ammunition: 2400m (traps)
Cast Repair: 500m (monomate)
Special Deductions: 0m
Total Reward: -2287m
Balance: 47m

That would suck, o.o.

Ah well, I never really used traps in PSO anyways. Casts were only really good for seeing them out.

Traps aren't really cost effective, but the crowd control ones could give you some extra oomph in a sketchy situation. Obviously it takes some preplanning to use them. You can put them in your Item Panel thing for quick switching at least. You can only have three out at a time as well, I think.

The freezing traps in pso were realy handy, though I could use them on every mob and make the game pretty easy to myself, the whole money and maybe-level thing helps to stop people whoring them out by the cost of meseta each, I think.
