OK, this is been officially the worst day of my life. First, I play Cmode for a bout 4+ hours and get ABSOLUTELY NOWHERE.

Then, I decide to hunt with a teammate. This n00b joins, and asks lots of idiotic questions, like "What are units?" (He's level 111 to boot >>) Because my partner is answering the questions, he can't help me, and I get swarmed. I end up losing 10k EXP.

Then, a few minutes later, my cousin, who I never talk to, sends this link to me. I open it, and all hell breaks loose.

First, all my programs close. I'm like, "Uh oh, this can't be good...", so I re-open them. When I open IE, my homepage changes (I changed it back) to this retarded site. And after a few minutes of being on messenger, I suddenly get this pop-up for porn. I exit it immediately, and as I do, a bunch of simeltaneous conversations open to all my online friends, sending them the very same link that corrupted me. I warned my friends not to open them, and I pray that they haven't caught it.

Point is, I FUCKING HATE HACKERS. The only reason they pull this shit is for attention. They want people to recognize your skills. Yeah, sure, I'll recognize your skills after I FUCKING BUST A CAP IN YOUR ASS.

Seriously, this couldn't have come at a worse time.

So, in short, expect me to be online 1/8 of the regular time. (I'm only on now because I'm using a different computer with protection)

Speaking of protection, I can't afford it. I was told of a site that lets me DL it for free, but by that time, my computer had been hacked to the point where all I can see is my desktop. I can C+A+D and Create a new task, but my comp is being very slow. I'll be patient and bear my teeth.

However, here's a warning, do not, under any circumstances whatsoever click a link if the following message appears:

(MSN contact) says:
(insert link here)
lol check http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif

Just warning you. So far, I know it's been going around MSN, but I'm not sure about AIM/ICQ or other messengers. I pray that none of you have been infected by this.

EDIT: Save the profanity for the post.

I suggest that you go to http://forums.spywareinfo.com/ and check out the "malware removal" board. Don't forget to read the faqs, also they'll probably ask that you at least install HijackThis.

Out of curiosity, was your messenger updated to the latest version?

EDIT: I'm your other computer was using Windows XP, so try pressing Ctrl+Alt+Del and rather than starting a new task see what is taking up all of the CPU usage. It should be in Processes tab under the CPU dialog. If any of the numbers are high, except for the System Idle Process, try closing that.

That happened to me 3~years ago. I feel sorry for you, hopefully you won't end up having to buy a new hard drive, like me. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_frown.gif Well it isn't as bad as knowing the person who hacked into your account.

I feel for you, man. Hackers are trash, but, unfortunately, you can't reach through the computer and do horrible things to them. Good luck with your computer. Hopefully they'll be able to stop the spread of the virus. In the meantime, thanks for the advice, i'll watch out. :3
