Do weapon colors change?

Hey guys i was just wondering, can weapon colors change? I've seen pictures of the basic handgun in purple, blue, red and some other color. :/

Does it change due to the bullet type or can you just change the color?

Weapon color depends on the element of the weapon. For melee weapons, the element is predetermined (for some, I think) or decided by which elemental photons are used in synthesis. For ranged weapons, the element is determined by the element of the bullets attached to the gun. For tech weapons, the element is determined by the element of the techs equipped to the weapon.

O_O so alls you gotta do to change the color is take a gun and attach a certain type of bullet or a certain item and bullet for guns.
