So, I don't have Phantasy Star Universe yet, buuut. I saw a few screen shots somewhere of the beast transformation, there were two standing next to eachother, one was pink and the other was a blueish color.

So my question is.. does anything effect what color your beast changes when it transforms? The section ID's, the gender or is it just random?

Not sure if you need a certain level to be able to transform or something, and if so if anyone's gotten that far. Lol. Thanks in advance. =D

what i found out that when you buy the badges you get a difrent color for each of them.

Different color for each; like, it's Yellow for the speed one, Red for power and Purple/Blue for def. i think. >_>;;

"Invincibility" blast badge. When a beast unleashes this nanoblast, enemy attacks are nullified. Putting a large burden on the body, this nanoblast's duration is short.

2/5 - Adaka Val (red)
"Attack" blast badge. Leaning toward their ferocious basic instincts, beasts who use this nanoblast will pulverize their enemies with the crushing attack power of their fists.

3/5 - Boguo Val (purple)
"Defense" blast badge. With uncanny defense, this nanoblast allows a beast to attack without interruption while taking little damage even when there are no intervals between an enemy's attacks.

4/5 - Zuid Val (yellow)
"Speed" blast badge. This nanoblast dramatically increases a beast's reaction time, making it possible for all of their attacks to hit. They can also evade enemy attacks better.

5/5 - No Blast Badge
A blast badge can only be used by beasts who are lv.20 or above.

Thanks for this. Uh~ I'm kind of curious (if you've seen any pictures / in gameplay). Does purple actually look purple? Or does it look more like a magenta-pink color?

Purple

Edit: at least in a male beast

can u have multiple badges and switch em out during gameplay?>

No, you can only have one badge at a time, its not something you equip.

you buy the tattoos from the estee shop, the same place you buy headgear ect from. The only way to remove that stuff is to go back to the store and choose the option without it.

Also you cannot accumulate badges, everytime you want to change you have to pay.

This is probably a dumb question but other than color, is there any visual difference between the forms?

Jozon

humans and newman no, casts have SUV weapons, scroll down on that link to see it.

so why is it that newman and human are being discriminated against and getting no lvl 20 skill?

DrewSeleski
Sep 19, 2006, 07:17 AM
Well the stats show that Humans and Newmans have higher stat totals than Casts and Beasts.

Rhyv
Sep 19, 2006, 07:19 AM
ya that makes a little bit of sense but u think they would give newman and human atleast a skill at lvl 40 since they have higher stats, but not like a real good skill just a little one to help escape danger or something usefull

I hear that all nanoblasts supposedly last 50 seconds except Vunde Val, the invincibility one, which last for 35 seconds.

OMG they're HUGE! I LOVE IT! Too bad it doesn't last long. It is nice tho. I noticed that the blue badge turns your skin black, with white runic tats on your skin. What color is your skin for the other color badges? Or is the skin determined by your initial skin color choice?

Jozon
Sep 19, 2006, 09:36 AM
I think it's determined by the badge, and the invincibility ones are very short.

Use the XviD codec (http://www.koepi.org/XviD-1.1.0-30122005.exe) to watch.

Hey so what is the point of the fifth badge?

Alpha-Hunter
Sep 19, 2006, 10:59 AM
I think it's what all beast have until they can get a useful one at level 20...

Possibly, but I want to be able to transform before lv20, so I hope the others are available earlier...

You can't, there's the lvl 20 min rule. So you can rule that out.

Does beast form function in it's own way? What I mean by that is that do they come with a standardized set of attacks and stats?

Yachiru
Sep 19, 2006, 12:20 PM
Thanks for the videos, and all of your replys, didn't expect to get this many over night. =P

@Kaply - Alls I know is depending on which color you pick (i.e. Yellow - Speed, Red - Power, Blue and Purple - Defense) it raises those certain stats, if that makes sense, or if that's what you were wondering.
