I didn't see a specific date on the site. All it says is that Sega intends to release a demo for the Microsoft Marketplace.

Contrary to prior reports, Sega's PSU will not see free online play for the Xbox 360. Users must create an account with Sega and then pay a monthly fee of $9.99 for the game. Sega, on the other hand, just intends to place a demo at the Marketplace that will feature both online and offline modes. All information came from the email Sega sent to various distributors.

Itll most likely be a port of jap beta if they do give us a demo. If not, it might be what the ppl at egm and all that got to do their latest preview. Oh, and for the guy who wanted to know how the billing works, all you have to do is goto options and buy a hunters license or whatever it is in this one, then they charge the $8.95 to the credit card you use for xbl.

if its true it will be 20-29th! because xbox live is having the huge X06/TGS thing for 9 days! with new demos and such. I really hope this is true! i wanna try PSU! even if im getting the pc ver i wanna try it on any system right now!

I'll probably use the demo to try out char creation then solo to get used to the game on 360 and be ready for when it's released.

i wouldnt doubt it... with TGS this week they are supposed to be releasing a lot of new content and a few demos which werent named yet during the TGS event... so PSU could be one of them. i hope so anyway that would be awsome.

Yeah, one of my friends linked me to an area on Xbox.com where it said they're bringing some demos from Tokyo Game Show 2006 to the Marketplace. I hope the PSU demo comes out sometime this month. >w<

I highly doubt they are going to have a online demo in place....but hey, most reviewers actually got their first chance to play the US version with the 360 version...and there are even 360 videos of cut scenes and crap like that...so who knows? Maybe a singleplayer demo will be released in due time.

And sorry for the double post, but are you sure it isn't just for Japan? They did the same thing with E3, but I highly doubt Microsoft US will bring over Japanese demos, O_o

No, it's true. I just checked an official announcement....conviently enough, it decided to error out on me when I found it!

Apparently they're not only bringing in demos and footage from TGS, but also from X06, some sort of european gaming event. The demos havn't been announced though, so who knows. Maybe the english demo for PSU is coming out from X06, since it is a European event.

As much as I, unfortunately, doubt there will be a PSU demo on XBL. I can say that they brought the Full Auto demo in...but in any case, that game sucked. Meh, you'll have to jus' waaaaait it out. =)

Actually, it'd be alot easier just to get the 360 demo out on the XBL MarketPlace because...

A)Acess to it is much easier, and it's alot easier to distribute.
B)Alot of gaming critics got their first copies of the english version via the 360 version.

PS2 Demos are likely too, but something tells me it's 360 all dah way.

Seems a little early for a demo this week though. They usually come out closer to release. Although SEGA could be using it as a BETA of sorts.

On the PS2, releasing a demo involves packaging it in with another game (unlikely in the case of PSU) or going through the relatively costly process of pressing a bunch of discs and then shipping them.

On the 360, it's basically just put up for download. The extra work involved with distributing a PS2 demo is a lot more expensive and difficult than slapping together the Premiere disc with some high-resolution assets and uploading it to the Live Marketplace. They don't even have to pay for the bandwidth.
