Syntax means formula, or in simpler terms, the stuff you have to type out.

Its set up like an Algebra equation. All the letters you see in the first line represent variables.
Then under the equation you given the value for each variable. (What each letter means.)

So lets breakdown the example given in that thread in english.

/saltd @c53 Orz

"/" mean we are gonna input the command.
"s" means shift. If your familar with PSO lobby actions you know that holding shift key when you do animations lets you do the opposite gender animations.

"alt" is the Alt key on your keyboard next to your space bar. Its what you hold down when you wanna do an action.
Now we press the space bar for the next line in the shortcut/macro

"@" means we are setting up emoticons for our shortcut.

"c" stands for the thinking speech bubble. So whatever you type out will be presented in those thinking bubbles.

"5" stands for the emoticon cut in chat type. 5 stands for sad, so when the shotcut is excuted a sad face cut in chat will be seen.

"3" stands for the angle of the emotion. All of the face reactions have 4 angles starting at 0 and ending at 3. I think 3 represents the top down angle

"Orz" is the message that is to be typed out and seen in the speech bubble. Orz is a JP emote I think it means man lying down. Its suppose to be a person kneeling down to something/someone. Hence the final product.

I don't think I can dumb it down anymore then that. haha good luck.

...it's quite simple though http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif

Use the Syntax : <A>/[B]alt<C> (space) @<D><E><F> (space) <G><H> (space) {[I]} Your Text

Replace <A> by # to say your sentence in party chat, put nothing to say it in public
Replace [B] by s if you want to make the opposite gender's emote, put nothing to get the normal emote
Replace <C> by f1 or f2... or f12 or a or b or.... z -> each of those is a Character Animation

and so on, and so on... just replace those <D> and <E> and <F> etc by what you want from the list of that item http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wink.gif

And.. make sure your command is all lower case... The "Your Text" part can be any case, though. But the command MUST be in lower case.

Whoah, thats probably one of the reasons the 360 version is taking a little longer to release over there. Those would have to be converted to some sort of menu, since many 360 players will not have keyboards...

How do you do Cut In Chat? ( make your characters face appear when you talk)

May be a dumb question but I havent't seen any options to make it happen.

Thanks

well the manual way seems to take a lot of fiddling around with the options.

I think you can macro pre-set cut-in-chat and text.

I'm gonna macro/save preset cut-in-chats (without text, so when I am about to trigger the C.I.C. by pressing a single key, I would just type up and say whatever I wanna say along with the C.I.C display. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif

On the PC version, start typing a message and press "Tab + Enter" to bring up the face select screen.
