About The Classes

I'm brand new to the PS games, so i have no idea what the classes do and what not. Is there a website that can explain what hunter, force, and ranger do? Thanks. I've tried searchin, but can't find nething

Put simply:

Hunters are melee fighters.
Rangers use ranged weapons.
Forces use Techniques (which are basically magic spells but don't call them that because old-time Phantasy Star fans will get mad at you and stick pins in your eyes if you do).


It gets more complicated from there, but most of that will probably be lost on you until you actually try the game.

in the first Phantasy Star, it was called Magic.

and in PSIV, Rune's special Skill abilities are in fact referred to as 'magic' by Rune himself (such as Flaeli)

Rune was a descendant of Lutz.

That's why he's able to use magic http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif

Magic is only usable by Espers if I'm not mistaken.
