Japanese modem?

Hi, I was wondering what I would need to get online with my Japanese PS2, do I need a japanese modem or will a PAL one be ok and where would be the best place to get one?

You can run it with that. I have a Japanese BBA on my North American Gamecube and it played PSO just fine.

EDIT: I assume you are running a proper converter to step your 220v down to 110v for the PS2?

Modems cost so much money, any ideas of where best to get one?
