i was playing with my friend who was using a HuMar, while i was using a FoMar.
while i was using a cain, she was using a saber, and doing around 17-20 damage, and when i used the heavy attack i did the same.Of course my spells were better my hand to hand, but that was only when i ran out of TP.
BTW: we were the same level
Your heavy attack with a cane did about as much damage as that HUmar's normal attacks with a saber.
Sounds like a decent amount of ATP to me, equip a saber and see how much damage you do with that. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif
I accepted the fact that fomars are ok when i realized humars cant use shifta/deband.. (or at least deband, im just assuming shifta too)

I decided after multiple people called my FOmar a chick, that I'd start playing as a RAmar. Powerful or not.

FOmar = bishounen
I like the one on the front of the PSO box. =X
I made one, and am using my HUcast to get him some nice techs. Prolly lvl him up sooner or later, or I might remake him, not sure on how I made him x_X

My brother haves one of those new forces and I must say that they kick ass. It almost give the same damage I do with a brand only diference are between 10 points.

FOmars may be girly looking, but I'm sure everyone would be happy to have one on their team. Is it just me, or is there a serious lack of forces online?
It's so weird being HUnewearl and not being able to cast reverser.

My Fomar (LO-Pan) deals some pretty havy dameage. at level 14, I was wasted Barba-Ray (not sure about the spelling) with RAFOIE. Delaing out 50 or so damage to each of his body segments. (50 x 6 body segments = 300 total damage). Plus with a saber, I can pretty much walk though caves and VR temple fighting melee style, with the ocational foie or barta.

when i equiped the saber i did 70% damage of what my friend was doing. my char looks like a guy, except for the dress....but i think it's just too funny to see my char in a dress....

I agree, my FOmar rocks hard. But he's very... feminine.

Though all FO's daily fare and real firepower lies generally with techs, at least FOmar is pretty decent with Sabers. They have enough ATP and Shifta w/ bonus to make using Saber really work. But their considerably low HP hinders this ability, so I'd say view FOmar's melee tactic as secondary or back-up.

My FOmar looks somewhat vampiric. He doesn't look at all feminine. Yumpin yimminy, folks - it's a robe or a cassock, not a dress. Try telling a Scotsman at the nearest Highland Games that he looks like a girl in his kilt - after he's done eating you for breakfast and spitting out your bones, he might laugh at you as well.
Dress. *snort* You youngins are hysterical!

true it is a robe, but it does look a little funny. my FoMar has white hair and the first red robe.

It may be a robe, but at a glance, a FOmar looks exactly like a FOmarl.

On Kabuki (FOmar lvl 13) I took one of the black robes (the one with red highlights - I think it's the second one), broadened his shoulders a bit, and gave him the kind of evil-looking painted face (lightest skin tone) and the balding-braid-ponytail hair (jet black, of course). He doesn't look anything like a FOmarl. He doesn't really look like a pretty-boy, either. He looks like a vampire or, as his name might suggest, a very unusual Kabuki actor.
In fact he looks quite robust. And I'm sure anyone's fears about his manhood are put to rest once he lets loose some devastating Gizonde and then charges into melee combat with a saber or even a good rod I found. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif
Play with some of the costumes and faces a bit - you can get him to look very, very cool. He doesn't *have* to be bishounen.

Mine looks wicked with long white hair and that robe thats red on top and orange on the bottom that kinda looks like a fire http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif And I always thought FOmarl could be the nicest eye-candy chars in DC if done right, definately more feminine than any FOmar I've seen, or any other female class for that matter. But hey, if people wanna let their sexual insecurities get in the way of using a powerful class thats their problem..

Yep I amusing a fomar this time around.
Last timeI was a fonewm, and the first 60 lvl's sucked, but then all of a sudden it just started working, and i owned monsters.
This started at about lvl 40 with my fomar though, i'm holdin my own on VH at 46, of course hunters are helping though.
Grants is doing MAJOR damage, and so it my rafoie at only lvl 4. . .

I ended up remaking my DC Fonewm as a FOmar. Wasn't bad.
Then I started hearing about how they changed all the old characters and rebalanced them. I re-remade him as a FOnewm again.
I like the FOnewm better.

I still think FOmars are the lowest form of forces. Withs techs being a good as the are in the new PSO, why would you want to exchange some MST for ATP. If your gonna be a FOmar so you can be a HUmar with s/d thats fine. But dont be a FOmar and try to be a MST dedicated FO.

the reason i'm using a FoMar now is, i already had a high lvl HuMar. and i always wanted to be a force male to could hold is own, with a weapon in hand. and that didn't have platform shoes...

rbf2000's FOmar looks sweet... not feminine at all (i saw a screenshot somewhere... i think)

I DO intend to make another FOmar......but, yeah, he seems kinda more like a hunter than a force. Sorta what you'd call a true battlemage.
I still think a major-casting FOmar is a possibility, and it suits the character of Kupi. With a FOmar, you just have to get good with the Gi-techs, and a nice boost to the power of Grants doesn't hurt, either. Double range on Shifta and Deband rules as well. I'm just saying that a casting FOmar is still a possibility, though he certainly has the inclination to be a fighter/mage rather than an exclusive magician.

i just picked up PSOGC and i'm trying to get back into the swing of things ( AKA still waiting for my darn BBA) and i made a FOmar w/ possibly the only masculine hairstyle (bandana / spiked hair) and he's pretty cool . xcept i could do w/o the " robe"

Anyone tried equipping a FOmar with an Agito yet?
Heh. Back in PSOV1, I had a set of (legit) Charge Pallasches with 50% hit and 50% to various areas that I used with my FOmarl, Yayoi. Tanking force indeed. With the charge specials, she'd take out nearly anything in Very Hard mode in one hit, often out-damaging most hunters. Needless to say, I hope to perform the same way on X-Box PSO as a tanking FOmar. If I could use the Sealed J-Sword as a FOmar, that would just rock...
