Neat, I didn't know that Satoshi Sakai worked on Panzer Dragoon Azel. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/anime2.gif

Also known as Panzer Dragoon Saga, and it indeed was for the Saturn.

Nothing actually new in the interview, aside from a little more insight into what their goals were in the project itself. A nice read.

The article mentions nightclubs... There are nightclubs in this game? I must have dozed off during that PSU 101 lecture...

But, this tells us that Gamespy plans a whole week of PSU features. That's cool. Raises awareness and all that.

On the Guardians Colony, there's a club on the third floor, but it's currently closed. On Moatoob (which is closed entirely), there's also a bar at one end of the city.

What's curious is that there really doesn't seem to be any reason for the club on the colony to be closed. In addition to that, some other areas seem to be locked off for no real reason. I'm not absolutely sure about this one, but I think the Church/Communion/whatever building on Neudaiz is closed, and on every planet (and the colony) the Guardians office has a Meeting Room that exists, but can't be entered.

They might just be there for the hell of it, but I'm hoping that they have to do with upcoming online Story Missions, basically giving you some time in the towns for plot in between the hack 'n slash.

According to the signs on the elevators, the third level is also known as the "Event Area", which probably hints at exactly when the club is going to be open usually.

Another closed place is the AMF building in Holtes City (although that was also off-limits for 99% of Story Mode too).

Forgot about the AMF one; I was wondering if there was an area on Parum that I missed.
Yeah, in that case, there's exactly one area per planet (and a Guardians Meeting Room) that is closed without containing a mission area. I'd say the chances of them being used for neat story stuff is pretty high.

Don't forget that PDS came out for Xbox as well.

Hum... There was Panzer Dragoon Orta on XBoX, but I don't think Panzer Dragoon Azel/Saga made it on any other console than the Saturn.

PDS was a RPG, (on 3 or 4 GDs) where you could really define your dragon the way you wanted...
It was REALLY brilliant.
I never finished it though (was a friend's game http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_cry.gif )
That would be a great idea if Sega would release PDS on another console, but I really doubt they'll do that http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_frown.gif
