Some questions.

Hello.

I play PSU for a month now, offline, but only for a month to see and test a bit the gameplay and character creation.
I will go, or at least try to go on japanese servers and I have a little question about this.

- Do I need a japanese IP adress for logging on japanese servers ?

My other questions are related to the online features which I could not yet tested.

- On the Japanese versions, how do we switch between roman character to Japanese character on chat ?
- Also, how do we change katakana Hiragana to kanji ? (oops, stupid me, typed a "k" instead of a "h" ><)
- If I buy a game pad, which I will probably do, will I be able to chat while moving/attacking ?
- Can someone summarise or give me a fast overview of emotes ? (I noticed on off-line mode that I could chance my position when I sit, also saw screen shots were peoples were sitting in different manners.)

And another question, since I am going melee character for main. (Hunter Newwoman, I mean "Newearl") It is a rather hard to answer question and it is more like a request than an actual question.

- Can someone describe, screen or FRAPS the melee weapons full combo ? (3 hit + 3 Photon Art hits Lv 20)

I know it will take time but I think it would be a good add for peoples who want to see how looks PAs before learning it. (If we can say me where I can find FRAPS program I should manage to do it for dual daggers.)

I will try my best to answer:
- I dont believe you need a Japanese IP to play online, but I cant say for sure since I dont play online. (But can patch and stuff)
-Hmm...well I used a Japanese IME to type, you could change between Hiragana to Kanji. Katakana is use to say words that arent nomally japanese based so not sure. But with the IME I think you can.
- In the all the other PSO games you could, so I dont see why not on PSU.
- Cant help you there, but I think theres a emote guide on the site under Site.
- Combo is pretty simple. Unlike the other PSO games...its not as time based to do a combo. You can press it fast or slow depending on how you feel. Also you can change directions when you are attacking. And http://www.fraps.com

Well, sorry, I don't know what is an IME, but I guess I can find an answer by doing a search on wikipedia or google.

I did not notice the emote guide, I should take another look, thanks.

And for combo, I played off-line too, so I saw a bit how it worked, what I asked for was to see the animations. I think it could be good to have at least description of animations.
Because, for example, on off-line mode, I bought a single dagger and the PA for it and I supposed it was something really fast that will hit a lot (like dual daggers) but mono-target and a bit more efficient, without any special effect.
While, the first hit of the PA, at least, is a charged cross strike (one step to the left and one to the right) so it have a long preparation time, the two blows follow pretty fast and have chances to stun, also the second blow lifts the enemy.

I don't think one person can give all of the current existing PA's combo, but if some peoples are tempted to fraps the one(s) they already have and if we are enough peoples doing so I think we soon will be able to make a mini "PAs animation database" so peoples on-line will not waste money on-line for buying a PA that they will not like.

That is funny, I made too a fraps of the dagger combo (just searching a site for hosting it) and I recorded it in the first area of Neudaiz.

Swords seems to be all about AoE in PSU, I tried Spears lastly and they are very different from what they were on PSO.

I am leveling Single Dagger and Single Sword's "Gravity Strikes" (Hyûga's skill) when I will hit 21 (and 3rd special hit) I will record these combo. (I don't know if Gravity Strikes is available on-line ?)

But, is the Single Dagger and Fists' PA that are shown on those videos are the ones we can get on line ?

Because both are very different when I do them, on an offline female character, but I don't think the sex of character matters that much in PA (seems the first stage of Fists PA's hit twice, while when I do it hit once)
I will have to search for the name of this PA on PSUpedia and compare to the one we can buy offline.

what is the max bullet for force offline because my force has a lvl 11 bullet and thought it was lvl 10 unless it 15 for offline for forces?

I am not sure, but I think we don't have limits on off-line mode.
Any Ranger or Hunter can use Staves, while on-line we are supposed to not be able to cast a single technique.

Twin claws seems starting pretty good, while the spinning claw for single one is just weird IMO.
Or am I biased for dual wielded weapons ?

I could fps Single Dagger and Gravity Strikes at Lv 10+ both, I wanted to have them at Lv 20+ first but I don't play for now and in a week or two I will be on the official version.

I will try to Lv them at Lv 21 before it and make videos, for now, I will fraps the levels I already have.

I feared it does not match well a such nimble character (I am almost as tall as Maya with high heels) and I tuned the voice down instead of high.
But now I am wondering between keeping the same voice for on-line or trying to move the pitch to the other side.

Well, as for combo, I still have some work to do and after that I'll have the week-end to try to up-grade them both at Lv 21 and make videos, after that I will maybe try to finish one more story stage, for making Ice Twin Misaki. (My character is Ice/Dark themed, but can't synthesise dark weapons for now.)

I still prefer Twin Daggers, but I was planning to try Twin Claws for a second weapon choice.

I will start to grind again my PA's tomorrow.

How disapointing, I leveled Saber's Gravity Strikes and Dagger's Shunbushorenzan to Lv 21 but it seems that the PA's combo stops at 2 hit for these PA.

Well, I would continue, but someone already posted all offline melee shop's PAs on one video. And another one, on another thread, posted a link to a site that gives a video of each melee PA.

I guess it is not necessary to continue, beside the fact that would be something good for waiting the game.
