PSU: Just some things that worry me

I was just wondering what happens when you Die in PSU? do items drop and XP loss or just XP loss and delevel?


Player base. this will be my first Phantasy star game and am really hopeing its friendly people. what should I expect from the player base?


Mesta I beleive its called (money) is it brutally hard to obtain like in FF online?

What I'm really worried about is people who make topics that ask the same questions every day.. but, to answer your questions.

When you die, all that drops is your team's overall grade for the mission at completion. (This also affects the reward you receive at the end of the mission as well..)

As far as the player base, there's assholes everywhere.. in every game.. in real life.. in the virtual world... expect people to act just like they do when you see them on the street.. only either more friendly or more assholeish because, hey, it's the internet.. you're completely anonymous.

And, yeah, meseta is a little harder to obtain in PSU until you can pound the rears in of creatures severely under your level for a decent amount of time every day.. then the money starts to pour in.

The only hit you take when you die is a huge cut in your reward at the end of a mission. It affects the entire team.

PSO's playerbase is by far the best online RPG crowd I've ever experienced. Can't say there aren't any douchebags, because in any crowd there are, but for the most part, most of the people I've played with are rather friendly.

I don't think anything could seem as much of a chore as FFXI. Meseta isn't as easy to get this time around, but it does start to add up after a while.

1. The only thing that happens when you die is the reward at the end of whatever mission you are doing is reduced.

2. Meseta isn't that hard to obtain but it isn't very easy to obtain either.

Well, most likely, there will only be 1 server.. or 2 (if they do the same thing as they did in Japan) .. so, chances are, we'll be playing on the same one. =P 50/50 chance if 2, 100% chance if 1.

Yeah, there's multiple universes split across the servers, though. You can hop between the universes at will, too.

Everyone sucks when they first start, and shouldn't be ashamed of it, or look down upon newer players who do later on but of course some people will be assses, and do so, and I look at them no different than I would a noob.
