Partner Machinery Question

Sorry, didn't find an answer for my question, thats as follows: How can I take my PM into battles, when it reached LV 80?

When it gets lv 80, it should give you a partner card. You then goto the Party Select screen and add it to your party.

can you give PMs names or is it randomly generated or is it just called GH whatever

Actually, I believe the first time you talk to your PM it forces you to name it. Though I could be wrong, and there could be a cancel button.

The first time you talk to it, you can press cancel to name it later. Also, I may have read the menu wrong ingame, but I think you can rename your PM also, I'll have to look later.
