View Full Version : So...first server with most PSOW residents win?

I just been wondering how we are going to decide which server will be the home of PSU when the release comes? I know most are going to go online immediately and play for hrs on end. The problem I see is if there is multiple on the release, how are we going to decide if everyone rushes online? How is it going to be decided?
Then again, we all dont have to be on the same one, just be nice to have the community in one place.

I guess it'll be decided in a similar way to how Japanese servers are.

Well I'll say this, don't choose a universe number that might be poular, like 5. The Japanese one is hellesh to get on to sometimes, that really was a bad decision. You really should choose an odd number like 23 or something.

I don't think thats a good idea.

No two major boards should have the same server/block.

Gamefaqs scares me. The mods won't ban me, but they'll take away karma every time I post. I think there's a bounty on me, I really do.

I haven't even been to Gfaqs in a few months...wonder what their PSU 360 community is looking like...

I hate gamefaqs. The only reason why I'll ever use is for ...well, their faqs. I want all of them to burn while tied to a fence.

Wonder if picking the first ship/block (dunno if there are blocks anymore) will be a mistake. =o... We'll jus' have to wait 'n see. I'm jumping online as soon as i open the box.

I thought I might bring back this post so that we could seriously start trying to plan which block and server we are going to be playing on.

Anyone from the Xbox beta tell us how many Worlds (Server) and Universe (Blocks) for each?

For me, on the beta, there were 24 (later 36) universes. There were no blocks in universes, so one universe = one block. That's why I vote universe 3.

I'd like to know also what universe you're all playing in, easy to get a group together, i also plan to head online as soon as it's installed. should be a strange number like 23 was suggested

Until I've found a solid group of friends to play with on PSU, I will most likely try to hang on the most populated servers, I.E. Universe 1, 2, or 3.

After that, I may just hang around a less populated Universe.

There seems to be alot of hate between different forums. I remember PSOW and IGN always seemed to be feuding on PSO GC. I've actually been asked to leave a game when they found out I use PSOW guides.

I think anything after the number 10 will be good. How can people suggest 1, 2 or even 3? Those places are going to be super crowded. 23 sounds perfect.

I don't understand why some of you are saying "Starting on the wrong Universe" would be a mistake. There's no sharding, is there?

Your characters cant go from server to server, but they can go from block to block.
The block im not concerned with, its the server.

Thats what I read anyway.
