ya that would be fun fun.

since there was a video showing the options, there is a music volume option, which definitely always all versions to let you play your own music (whether through a PC music player, or a stereo while playing PS2, or Xbox360 guidemenu music player), while still listening to the in game ambient sound effects, etc. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/anime1.gif

so ya this topic is focused on people who will play music from the classic Phantasy Star games (and PSO too) while playin PSU. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif

which is to say, I'll still use the PSU's in-game music from time to time definitely. but ya I plan on burning some classic tracks on a disk and save them on the harddrive for use now and then while playing. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif

so like here are my ideas. I'm not good at knowing the titles to music tracks but I can describe them.

like tracks from PS1...well I might play the title screen theme when the game is loading and I'm in the process of going online and stuff.

for My Room. PSII's home theme, and PSIII's title screen theme are pleasant music tracks to play while hanging out there. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/anime1.gif

for cities, well it may vary. I would play either PSIV's 1st town theme (like Aiedo, Kadary, etc.) probably for Guardian's Colony,
PSII's town theme for Parum's city,
PSIII's town theme for Neudaiz's city,
PSIV's Zio's fort theme for Moatoob's city.

and a mix of PSII's rise or fall battle theme, PSIII's overworld (full party) theme, PSIV's remix of PS1's dungeon theme (at asteroid belt), and other Phantasy Star music tracks for missions and other occassions. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif

so ya anyone else planning ahead with music they will make use of for PSU? http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/anime1.gif

Im addicted to the following tracks from PSO:

Tricktrack (both parts)
Cry, for Idola the holy (Falz third stage)
Idola have the immortal feather (Olga Flow first form)
Revolution to the origin (Ruins, both parts)

And I listen to them on a daily basis.
Will continue to do so in PSU, though I will give the OST a chance first.

I'll be playing the entire Episode I & II soundtrack, along with Linkin Park and Fort Minor http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif

Probably "Can I still see the Light?" and that one song from Blue Burst which has the PSIII theme remix. Aside from that, I might see if I can find some MP3 conversions of the midi's from the original games to play.

I love the old 8 bit music. (http://www.algol-star-system.net/music-house/misc_mp3s/Segacon%20-%201_09%20-%20Dungeon%201.mp3) The thought of listening to this kind of stuff while running through the Ruins or other dungeons is just awesome to me for some reason.

This will only be on the X360 version though...

Woo! ButtRock rendition of Phantasy Star III Theme! (http://www.algol-star-system.net/music-house/misc_mp3s/SegaRock%20-%20PHANTASY%20STAR%20III%20MAIN%20THEME.mp3)

I'll keep the music, I don't want PSU to feel like a different game.

I've really enjoyed what I've heard of the games OST so far... So I'm sure I'll just stick with that. I like to play games with their natural music. Although a little ps or pso music couldnt hurt here and there =3

I adore this games' music too much to play nother Ost during it.
..unless ofcorse thers an equivalent of Garrison THEN ill consider throwing in Hideaki Kobayashi's 'nostalgia in solitude -part 2-'
