is it easy to accidentally delete your character?

like what are the menu process when choosing a serve side character? like does it bring a menu where it says "yes, cancel, delete, transfer"?

or like is deletion handled in a separate and safe process if ppl have the need to delete a specific one but want to save the others?

The only way to "delete" a character is to overwrite it with a new one. When you select a character, you'll have the options:

Start (or Use... or whatever, I don't know the precise translation)
Exit
(Re)create

If the slot is blank, the first option simply won't be available. There's a confirmation screen, I believe, before you go into character confirmation.

I don't think the changes are made final until you actually complete the creation (as in, the old character isn't overwritten until then), but don't quote me on that.

It's probably the same as PSOBB, where you can choose to recreate a character, but as long as you don't finish making it, it won't delete your old one.

They should make it like some other MMOs where in order to delete your character, you have to select Delete, then Type the name in a box. That way its pretty much impossible to accidently delete your character.

Now I see. This is *precisely* why the Phantasy Star universe always promoted to "Keep your Cake Shops locked somewhere deep in a Dungeon". Just in case stuff like this happens. That, and keep your veggies on the surface.
