Blue burst was either 2 weeks or when you hit level 20, whichever one comes first.

That recent x360 article mentioned that they had to negioiate a 14-day trial for the PS2 version, so it's not even know if you guys are getting a free trial.

Ether: Apparently there was some exploit involved with the 1 month trial for the JP version.

wow if ther are exploits for even free trials, they might as well not offer a free trial.

most people just use free trials to play something for free and never bother subscribing past that.

so in my opinion, free trials are a poor way to promote something like this. an offline demo would more than enough to show ppl how the gameplay is like.

Free trials are necessary imo... As really the first month of gameplay should already be included in the purchase of the game. I mean, if a game is developed to be an online experience, it only makes sense for a small amount of playtime to be included in the cost of the product. It's absurd to expect consumers to have to pay a monthly fee right out of the box.

exactly, if it costs $50-$60, then that $15 a month would make the price $65-75, so at least spread it out, you already got 3.5-4 monthly fees in the purchase of the disk.

Yes, that is the whole point of a free trial if you didn't guess, to TRIAL the game, if you don't like it, you don't play it. Simple as.

Though in the case of PSU, they implemented a solid offline game section for which you do pay the full price. Yes yes, the game's more about the online section, but still, there is something that justifies the retail prices.
Though I do guess that they will give the 30 day free online trial as a bonus too.
