Chatting In PS2?

I have a question. If you play PSU on the PS2, then can you type letters with the controller if you don't have a UBS keyboard? My friend doesn't have a board, and she wants to know, since she's used to typing with the controller while playing FFXI.

I mean, does PSU have like some in-game, on-screen keyboard where you can pick letter-by-letter? Or no?

It should... I mean PSO has an in-game keyboard...

I would get a keyboard though... it feels faster to me unless she really can type fast with an in-game keyboard...

Also I think you can save certain messages so you don't have to keep typing them all the time.

Keyboards cost $10 - a month of PSU lol

yes PS2 ver PSU have on-screen keyboard just pass on SELECT and pop up on-screen keyboard.

How could she stand to type without a Keyboard in that game? O_o Madness.

I bought an extra USB keyboard just for FFXI on my Xbox 360. I'd assume there would be some incarnation of a vitual keyboard, but as a previous poster said; it'd be alot more convenient to just use an actual keyboard.
