Elements binding and Grinding?

Sorry if this has been asked before(I know it was but I forgot)
-To give a gun an element, it corresponds with the elements of the bullet
-To give a wand/rod an element, it depends on the techs
-How do you bind an element to a sword type weapon?
-How do you gring a wep? and are there chances of your wep breaking from a grind like a synthesis?

An element can only be given to a blade type weapon during synthesis, after that it cant be changed ever

To grind, you bring a weapon to its brand HQ and talk to one of the NPCs there, there is a chance the weapon will break and be gone from your inventory forever

also to grind a kubara wepon go to the junk shop in Gcolony, and its safe to grind upto 3 times with any ranked grinder (i'd go for S+5 but its tricky to get them) any higher and you can break the wepon so if you MUST go higher SAVE then grind (rinse and repeat hehehe)

And its possible to break before getting to +3, I've done it a few times

maybe online you arnt guarenteed a + 3 like in extra offline?
