well ive been seeing alot of countdowns saying its coming in 16 days or so but when i called walmart today, they said it would be selling it in a week.. supposedly on the 15th. I loled. Walmart is stupid. Half the time I call, I can guarentee you the person on the other end has no idea or doesn't bother to look into it for me.

Maybe it's right? Maybe it's not. Didn't hurt me any to preorder it and then on the 17th if it doesn't come in just cancel my preorder.

I'm not sure the date could be for the strategy guide, it's not listed on the Wal-Mart website at all, let alone with a date. The other two copies (PC and PS2) both have dates of 10/24/06... but the 360 one is different? That's strange.

There have been numerous cases in the past where the "official" release date was either wrong, or when the game maker told the store to sell it and the store didn't listen. (many people got Saints Row and other games a week early this way)

Maybe it's a typo, maybe it's not, we'll find out the 17th.

There are other sites listing PSU as a October 16th release (360 version mostly), among them the site I'm pre-ordering from, http://www.dvdboxoffice.com .

Official site still says 24th, but english game sites are notorius for not being updated. I'd still say 24th~ a good idea not to get your hopes up. :]

i work for wal mart...and i will tell u, if u do call..noone is going to know/care what your talking about....and since all wal marts get thier shipments at pretty much the same time, i can tell you that no, we do not have it in stock yet.
