If Tripp were not cotton, did not have specia stitching, or colored stiching, did not have an undgodly amunt of pockets, and did not use loops to hold the chains on, that COULD work.

But by the time you hem the Dickies to loom like trips, add the stiching, actualyl manage to find a chain that is light enough to add to it, you end up wasting alot of time and edffort, when you could just spend 15 more bucks and have something that looks like it should.

I've made fake tripp pants, and it involves alot more than just slapping chains on.

And it's not worth it.


Side note: Tripp is high priced. But no more than any other name brands at the mall. The difference is that Hot Topic actually sets high prices because the company has excellent benifits, and needs to be able to afford to keep them.
