Ok ANTARES/8 is going to be the official Ship/Block for PSOW. So feel free to begin flooding that block, I'll probably be joining along myself. Expect perhaps an announcement to meet up each Saturday night like in the old days.

Oh and thanks to everyone who participated in the poll to help decide this ship.

Me and other staff members look forward to seeing you there!

Y'know, I made that poll down below about the official challenge block because I was hoping to bring a bit of community to PSO by finding a place where EVERYONE can look for C-mode players. Instead you've twisted my benevolent idea into your selfish desire to have what YOU want, not what's good for everyone. The C-mode block isn't supposed to be just for PSOW, it's supposed to be for everyone. That's why I posted the poll. If I'd known you were going to shove yourself in front of everyone else and say THIS IS WHAT IT IS then I wouldn't have even bothered posting it here in the first place. It all boils down to the fact that everyone wants to know where to look for C-mode players. Do you really want to play C-mode with just people from PSOW and a few outsiders who join friends in PSOW, or would your rather have a virtual world at your fingertips? I'd personally rather see a universal C-mode block rather than just a PSOW C-mode block.

I can understand that there will be times when you just want to hang with PSOW members, but the point of the matter is if PSOW members want to play C-mode, aren't they just going to group together in the same block where they meet in the first place? Why not just designate specific lobbies for C-mode (ie. 6-10) on the PSOW home block instead of taking over a second block?

Forgive me if I'm ranting abit. But I took your stepping on my toes very personally.

Oh, and just a little tidbit I picked up earlier... Apparently GameFAQs also calls Deneb 8 their home block. Have fun with your new neighbors. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif

I say we keep Altair 6. That's where most of the PSOWers I've seen have been going. And your right, using one block for everything would be easier.

Also, I say we wait until Japan and USA connect together (if it ever happens), and let those people decide the "Universal" Challenge block. They seemed to in version 2.

Nobody said you couldn't have your own block... we're just saying what the PSOW block will be for OUR members who want to play with OTHER members. There's nothing wrong with that, you can still have your own block and own poll.

People can go to which ever block they want to go to. The people of PSOW have been wanting a block, so we give them one.

Vulpes, you're taking it a bit too far here. No one is doing it for a selfish reason. The reason why we're claiming blocks is for our users upon the request of our users. And the users have been requesting for a specific designated block for some time now. We also have a responsibility to meet the demands and wants of the members of this site.

You could still have your own non website based everyone is free block, no one said you couldn't. No one said it was a bad idea, no one was shutting it down. No one was claiming elitism. Calm down and be rational for a minute. We were just stating what out block is. Not creating our own exclusive virtual world.

People are free to go where they want. Hopefully, they'll intermingle. It's not like we locked down your poll and claimed everything.

Please, it's just a pso block...

It's not the fact that eRUPT wants to pick a C-mode block for PSOW. If that's what you guys want, that's fine. What I'm upset about is that eRUPT and others took my poll for a universal C-mode block and turned it into a poll for a PSOW C-mode block. I found that extremely rude. Just read the message string in the topic below.

I want to help the PSO community claim a universal C-mode block that everyone can go to and find other C-mode players. It's that simple.

Well, what would have happened if your poll was successful? It's a poll here at PSOW. Only people at PSOW would see it and know about it. That doesn't seem very universal.

it was just declared which block would be the psow block. lighten up, your poll is still going. people can still vote for your universal block.
it's still going. i mean right now, in fact, erupt's thread has been hijacked too, no one is freaking.

If you read the message on the poll, you'll notice I said I was posting the poll on all the popular PSO sites I know and would tally up the results. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif

As for hijacking the topic, in a sense I kinda did and I appologize for that. But I still think you guys owe me an apology as well for doing the same in my topic.

I love how mods always pop in all togheter in a thread to defend their own choices when someone is simply pointing out his own opinion.

We have some really sensitive mods, here... don't we?

As for the block... I like the name "Antares" most, so fine for me. Antares would be my ship of choice anyway.

I gotta side with the Vulpster on this one. Its very close to what happened with my RL Pic posts. But you know what, we non-admins, we don't run this place. Hence, we gotta take it as we get it.

neko, i'm sorry if mods replying seems like ganging up but even the mods have the freedom to express their emotions.

spy, i was just implementing a good suggestion for the rl pic post because users wanted it easier to browse through.

and admins and mods are equal on this site.

there is no reason to keep picking on everything. come on now guys. if it's not drama, it's nitpicking.

as for this topic, i'm going to lock it because it's gone off topic and the main intent was to get the word out that it's antares 8.
