Well.... I know it does... But, "it's not in their computer"... they're trying to hide it from me, I tell you! Why wouldn't they want me to pre-order it?!

Yeah, I still need to preorder PSU. I'm worried I won't get a copy if I don't, maybe a trip to Gamestop today will pay off.

That's strange because I preordered over a month back... also it could just be a store error, I've seen it a dozen times often times all there pre-order information is computer transmitted so sometimes a store might miss up an update and not be fully aware of it either.

I preordered the PC version of PSU from EBGames. The stock number on my receipt says

646200 Phantasy Star Uni

Maybe he can look it up with the 646200 number.

When I went to preorder PSU from EB, he said it wasn't in the computer too. So I told him to look under "P" instead of "F". Problem solved.

All the more proof that EB games and GameStop are not good sources of information lol. So I need to go to the DBZ board and tell everyone why they shouldnt believe their release dates.

It really depends on who the clerk is and where you live.

To my knowledge, to become an employee at EB Games or GameStop, you're required to have some modern gaming background. However, this isn't limited to what kinds of games you're experienced in. For exmaple, where I live, the majority of the games bought are Madden 2029 Football/Basketball/Hockey/Whateverthesportsgameyoucanthinkof. That means most of the store clerks are going to be gamers in only the sport genre, which makes the feel like an utter NERD when asking for a game like PSU's release date.

The only real clerks you can usually associate with and know what you're talking about are the scrawny white guys with acne. If you see a big bulky black dude as the clerk, he's not going to know a thing about what you're talking about. I've gotten used to it, because where I live I usually encounter the latter, lol.

Ummmmmm to be honest i haven't seen anyone any where close to being an athlete in an EBgames or Gamestop................Also all the ones i talk to suggest games they have played before and i havent heard a sports game yet.

lol, when i went to EB and asked the guy if i could preorder. He was like "Uh...i don't see it in here!" So i looked down at the screen and was like "It's spelt with a P...." and there it was http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif

All-in-all, the guy are your EB was probably spelling it wrong. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_nono.gif

Heh funny, there's an athletic black guy in the Gamestop where I go to now and then. All he knows about really are racing games. He and I go to the gym together sometimes too though.

Yeah EB and Gamestop are the same store now. but its funny how some people hate gamestop and love EB and some are vice vera. Around here EB is "better" than Gamestop. But it also may have been b/c some of the smaller stores just dont carry PC games since the ydont sell as well as console games. A few, no most, places around here are like that. And if you had a new guy it may be hard for him to pre-order a PC game. When I did it for City Of Villians it was hard for them...for some reason....

I shop at those game stores once in a while, but im more into Game Crazy. I know all the workers there, its just that its a console and handeld-oriented store, so they dont sell PC games.

you guys ever tried Best Buy or Circuit City? I think there are some PC stores that sell PC games as well...i think.

that's cool. I preordered from game stop and have the exact same stock number 646200. it's smart of them to keep the EB name for customer loyaly sake, but it is the same exact store now.

When you asked EB, you said 'PSU' didnt you? Someone else did the same thing, and they said no. I said PSU as well, and the guy said; 'no PSU, did you mean Phantasy Star Online?'

I'm telling you guys they spell it Fantasy and not Phantasy...
