I always seem to join online games very late in their lifetime, when most players are max levels, and it is just plain hard to get into because I am one of the few "noobs" if any. It doesn't have the same amount of enjoyment when you know you are joining a world that has been long since explored to every corner.

I am very excited to be starting out in PSU with everyone at low levels and not knowing of what lies ahead. Much more thrilling IMO. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif

In all honesty, I haven't been this excited for a game in awhile.

I'm usually not pleased with games that are popular and have a fan-base of mostly fanboys. So yeah, I'm a tough audience, I not so easily hyped, but I want PSU more than anything. And I'm glad to be playing it early as well

What adventure I really like, is how there's a lot of new posters here. Some people aren't very...articulate posters yet, but it will be pretty cool to watch people change and mature over the years that they'll hopefully spend on this site.

I'm really looking forward to PSU. I started PSO around the same time of the year in roughly the same situation. Sept back then I was 14 and a freshman in highschool, new to Miami. Now I'm a freshman in college in a totally different area. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif

lolol the funny part is down the road, when ye are lvling up a lower lvl char, some1 will call one of us a noob out of spite or just cause we are a lower lvl. and my response will be... " i have been phantasy star since before your IQ hit double digets. this will mark my 2 day anaversary ^_^"

Yeah, I played RF at release, too. If there's any justice in the world, PSU's launch experience won't be like that.

Yeah same here. I was really only playing on the FIRE server, but if you ask me, KoS pretty much ruined any chances any of the regular people had at possibly becoming a race leader, and really took alot of the fun out of the game. It's like they needed to be the best, and it's pretty much the community that ruind the launch experience for me in RF, not so much as the actual gameplay, O_O

I played on...I don't even remember. Wind, I think. Yeah, the community was crap; hardly any chatting in cities. Hell, I'd prefer the infamous Barrens of WoW to RF's practically silent towns. What really killed it for me, though, was the constant grind and absolutely pointless quests. Story is one of the most important things for me, and RF had practically none.

But, anyway, back on topic...PSU seems to be the opposite of RF in just about every way, fortunately. It's not often that I preorder games, but I bought PSU like three weeks ago. Hell, I'm not even a cult fan or anything; my PSO experience lasted a week or two.

I started FFXI the day it came out. Nothing beat the feeling of all of the NA playerbase having to work together to figure out the game. The few JP's that knew some English helped, but we basically were thrown out in the river and told to swim, and had to teach ourselves and each other. It was so fun. I'm hoping with high hopes for this to be an equally awesome experience!

I haven't been this excited for a game since Ep 1&2! And I think I'm more excited now than I was then. I could hardly go to sleep when they first announced the beta!

I wasn't excited as much at first. Now the more I read on here and the more I learn about the game the more excited I'm getting.
