According to this scan (http://psu.rdy.jp/src/up6392.jpg) from a recent issue of Dengeki PlayStation, the Yasminkov makes a return in some form. One of the new weapons being revealed in today's update to the Japanese servers will be the Yasminkov 0002, a GRM-manufactured machinegun. Now, correct me if I'm wrong, but weren't the other Yasminkov guns in PSO rifles?

The Yasminkov weapons were
Yasminkov 2000H Handgun
Yasminkov 3000R Rifle
Yasminkov 7000V Rifle
Yasminkov 9000M Mech (machine) gun

I can't tell which if any was a shotgun. This was taken from a magazine with the weapon listing.

I don't remember their exact numbers, but their was a shotgun, a handgun, and a "mechgun". I didn't even know mechguns were making a come-back in PSU.... http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_confused.gif

The 7000V was a pure rifle type, but was a shotgun.

Yeah, it looks a little like a Mossburg?

no it was like modified rifle with shot like lock on to monsters very nice but for only 1 instead of 5

Well yeah, it was a rifle that had a really wide lock-on cone.

Um, no, the 7000V, unlike the other Yasminkovs, is not based on any real existing shotgun.

Excellent, yeah that reminds me of them too, I never had one, my Racast ran around with a +hit Snow Queen 90% of the time.

Yeah, it can mostly be connected to the SPAS-12, but of course, it's not it... 7000V is like some kind of unnecessary pump/semi-auto hybrid with a slide.

9000M was very powerful in PSO 1&2; arguably broken. It's a mechgun with the range of a Rifle.

The weapons animation of shells behing tossed out with each shot was a visual bonus.

Freaking awesome. I can't wait to see a screenshot of it upclose and in action. My main character in PSO was Mr_YASMINKOV, so I'm definately extremely excited to hear about this weapon! Although I will be online, I sure hope that this Yasi is also already included in Extra Mode (yet just not discovered).

lol, hardly anything is included in extra mode... unless these content patches also unlock the content offline as well, but I wouldn't know because I can't patch this japanese version if I want to keep playing it offline till it comes out here.

Heh, it doesn't surprise me to see the Yasminkov return in some form.

What else I find interesting from skimming over that list of weapons is that it seems that, a few of those weapons which are 7/8* - such as Beamgun and Laser Cannon, are actually non-rare offline (they're 4/5*). Bit weird, that.

I'm just happy they're bringing some old names back.

All I require is that it look like a real gun, and SORT OF shoot real bullets. It'll probably have one of those lights on it. Or they might've gotten creative and made a laser sight thing like on the 2000H have different laser color to indicate the element being used.

That, and they might want to fix that sound glitch that comes from the s-rank mechgun you can buy offline.

omg! Will my precious Yasminkov 9000M's make a return?!

Yes you're right about Extra Mode lacking many certain items. Good examples would be the lack of axes, cards, cannons, etc. The Yasminkov however is classified as a Rifle/handgun (depends what this model turns out to be) and could possible be in extra mode. Most of the content which is being unlocked in the next update is old to offliners, but then again, I'd imagine that some of the items were online only... meaning that the yasi could quite possibly be that. I sure hope not, I don't want to have to be online in order to mess around with my favorite weapon http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif

The Yasminkov 0002 is a Machinegun, as Espio pointed out in the first post. It does not appear in Extra Mode (might be possible to get it illegitly, but I wouldn't really know).
